■Tokai Seijiro (Ninomiya Kazunari/double role) finally appears in front of Sera (Takeuchi Ryoma)…!
The eighth episode of the Sunday Drama “Black Pean Season 2” (TBS) starring Ninomiya Kazunari will be broadcast on September 1st at 9pm.
In episode 7, Amagi Yukihiko (Ninomiya Kazunari) performed a public surgery at Tojo University during the presentation of Saeki Kiyotake (Uchino Masaaki) for the election of the president of the All Japan Medical Association. However, as soon as Amagi performed the direct anastomosis, a large amount of bleeding occurred from the branch of the coronary artery. Amagi said that the adhesions were worse than expected, and that the patient could not be saved unless direct anastomosis was performed at two places at the same time. With the help of his rival, Ishin University’s Sugai Tatsuo (Danda Yasunori), Saeki manipulated Elcano Darwin and performed a brilliant public surgery with Amagi, performing direct anastomosis at two places at the same time. Saeki won the position of president of the All Japan Medical Association, and when he returned to Tojo University, he announced that he would run again for the election of hospital director and unprecedented hospital reform with the aim of a generational change.
In the eighth episode, which aired on September 1, Ejiri Norie (Oguro Maki), the deputy hospital director who is not convinced by Saeki’s reforms, runs for the hospital director election. Shingyoji Ryutaro (Ishizaka Koji), the president of the Sakuramiya City Medical Association, appears as her backer. Shingyoji is Saeki’s mentor, but they had a falling out after a certain incident five years ago. Meanwhile, Amagi has been secretly investigating the incident five years ago in order to uncover hidden facts about himself and his family.
Meanwhile, Amagi is visited by Masayuki Tomizawa (Akira Fukuzawa) from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Tomizawa tells Amagi that there is a problem with issuing a license to the new hospital, “Surijie Heart Center,” headed by a doctor who will charge exorbitant medical fees to patients. Upon hearing this, Amagi readily resigns from his position as the center’s director.
Furthermore, Amagi searches through the personal belongings of Seijiro Tokai (Kazunari Ninomiya/double role) that were left in the sleeping room. He stares at a certain photo he finds there…
At the same time, Saeki receives a call from Tokai. Then, Saeki and Amagi fail to show up for the conference the next day, and their whereabouts become unknown.
Then, a package addressed to Amagi arrives with the word “urgent” written on it. Inside is an echocardiogram and CT scan, and the patient is in need of emergency surgery. Who is this patient?
What is the relationship between Amagi and Tokai? What happened five years ago?
Episode 8 sees a dramatic turn of events surrounding Amagi. And then, Tokai finally appears in front of Sera (Ryoma Takeuchi)…!
■Horikoshi Reika and Ranzu Tomu will be returning as guests in episode 9!
Ranzu Tomu, who played Shigeno Asami in episode 2, and Horikoshi Reika, who played Shigeno Yui, will reappear in episode 9.
Yui’s grandfather, Shigeno Takamichi (Makoto Naoya), who suffers from a heart condition, had a chance sample challenge in order to receive Amagi’s direct anastomosis. Yui won and the operation was successful. When her grandfather was released from the hospital, Amagi gave Yui a coin and said, “It’s good to ask God once in a while,” but she bravely replied, “I don’t need it. I’ll do my best,” and left Tojo University.
However, in episode 9, Yui is found to have a cyst in her left main coronary artery, and is hospitalized at Tojo University. Furthermore, she is in a condition where she needs Amagi’s direct anastomosis surgery…
Six years have passed since Tokai left Tojo University. Will Sera, who has begun his career as a surgeon, Saeki, who has become the hospital director and is plotting a new plan, and Amagi, a world-renowned genius surgeon, bring good or bad luck? Each of them has their own desire for medical care.
