Third Generation J Soul Brothers’ Iwata Takanori creates art live at “24 Hour TV 47”! The finished work is unveiled as the dream of Galaxy Express 999

■ Iwata Takanori completed three artworks, two of which were created during the 24-hour TV broadcast.

Nippon Television’s “24 Hour TV 47” will be broadcast from 6:30pm on August 31st to 8:54pm on September 1st.

The dream version of Galaxy Express 999 was unveiled at the event “Third Generation Iwata Takanori Takes on Live Art Production and Auctions Works by Top Artists,” featuring seven works, including three created by Iwata.

This project involves auctioning off a total of seven works, including works by popular manga artists, character designers, and artists discovered by Sanma Akashiya, with all proceeds from the auction being donated to the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula.

Takanori Iwata, who has an atelier at home and a talent for painting that is recognized even by professional art dealers, completed three artworks, two of which were created during the 24-hour television broadcast.

The three pieces, which compare the members of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS to animals, along with works by other participating artists, were placed on the Galaxy Express 999 that was earlier put on display at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, turning it into a train of hope.

Iwata was overwhelmed with emotion at the dream train, which took 22 hours to complete, saying, “I’m glad we made it in time.”

Afterwards, J SOUL BROTHERS III performed a live version of “Galaxy Express 999,” greatly livening up the stage at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
