From the film “We Don’t Know Love,” currently being shown nationwide and starring Naniwa Danshi’s Onishi Ryusei, the main footage from the Christmas live concert scene, which is the climax of the film, and behind-the-scenes footage of Igari Soya (HiHi Jets), who plays Taichi, have been released.
Taichi, who belongs to the light music club, has formed a four-person band called “Jerseymans,” and will be performing a guitar and singing performance with his band members at a Christmas live concert. In the front row of the audience is Mizuho (Shida Sara), the woman Taichi is in love with, and from behind, the couple Naohiko (Kubota Airu) and Izumi (Riko) enter the venue. This live concert scene is an important scene in the story, and you can’t help but wonder if Eiji (Onishi Ryusei) and Koharu (Saito Nagisa) will be there. It’s a scene that will keep your heart pounding.
In an interview before filming began, Igari revealed that despite feeling the pressure, he was practicing hard. “Igari Soya has been given two solo songs!” he revealed happily. However, one of the songs has English lyrics, so he was practicing hard despite receiving criticism about his pronunciation.
On the day of the live performance, Igari was about to perform in front of the 600 students who had gathered as extras. He said, “It’s close to the atmosphere of a real live performance, so I’ll try my best not to get nervous!” Keep an eye out for him playing the guitar, which he had been practicing hard on since before filming.
The two original songs that will be performed at the live concert were written by Director Mai Sakai specifically for the film. The first song has English lyrics, and Igari will perform the English song on guitar and vocals. The second song is an emotional rock number that beautifully depicts the love stories of the six characters, and has been highly praised by audiences who have already seen the film, with comments such as “It was so moving!” and “Taichi’s final song is just too good.” The powerful performance will make you feel like you’re at a live concert.
