Shingo Katori and Untouchable head to ramen powerhouse Niigata! Eat all the top five ramen

■The final 2-hour special episode of “Untouchables Got There Right Away” features two parts: a food-filled trip to Niigata with Katori Shingo, and a hospitality trip to Sandwich Man’s hometown of Miyagi!

Starting at 9pm on September 3rd, Kansai TV/Fuji TV will broadcast “Untouchables’ Let’s Go Right Away.”

This broadcast is the final two-hour special, featuring the Untouchables (Hiroya Yamazaki and Eiji Shibata) and the free-for-all tour of Katori Shingo and Sandwich Man (Mikio Date and Takeshi Tomizawa). It will feature two episodes: a Niigata food trip with Katori, and a hospitality trip to Sandwich Man’s hometown of Miyagi.

In Niigata, Untouchable and Katori will try all five of the great ramen varieties.

In fact, Niigata Prefecture is a ramen powerhouse. In fact, Niigata City is the second-highest ramen restaurant in Japan for eating out! First, they go to a popular restaurant serving the original ginger soy sauce ramen. Katori raves about it, saying, “It’s the best soy sauce ramen I’ve ever eaten in my life,” and all three of them finish it in just five minutes. Their appetites are whetted, the three head to Masahiro, where they order curry ramen with a sauce katsudon. They also drive through the Niigata countryside, eating their way through dishes such as back fat ramen, which has over 100 people lining up on weekends, and Niigata rich miso ramen. They also visit Nihon Bunri High School, a prestigious sports school, and there’s a penalty shootout between the soccer team, which has participated in national tournaments, and Untouchables and Katori!

Next, we move to Sendai.

Sandwich Man, who was given the warm hospitality in Shibata’s hometown of Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, has planned a trip to Miyagi to please the Untouchables. Sandwich Man, who serves as a tourism ambassador for various places, will first guide them to a famous horse mackerel fry restaurant that is also featured in the Michelin Guide and is making its first TV appearance. Date is thrilled with the melting texture of the horse mackerel fry, saying, “It will change your concept of horse mackerel fry.” At the “Teigi Tofu Shop,” famous for its triangular fried tofu, the four of them can’t stop eating the crispy outside and juicy inside with the special dashi soy sauce and garlic-flavored shichimi. Other highlights include a special experience of hitting a home run at Rakuten Mobile Park Miyagi, home of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary since the team was founded, and a private bath at a long-established inn where you can have the spectacular view of Matsushima all to yourself, to liven up the final episode.

Enjoy the final episode, featuring a host of special guests and delicious gourmet food from Niigata and Miyagi.
