The music video for Ayase (YOASOBI)’s new song “From Now!”, which was written in collaboration with Niantic’s mobile app “Monster Hunter Now,” which allows you to experience Capcom Co., Ltd.’s globally popular “Monster Hunter” series in the real world, has been announced to premiere on YouTube at 8:00 p.m. on September 6th, the same day as the digital release.

Ayase, who has been a fan of the Monster Hunter series for a long time, wrote and composed the song “From Now!” to match the worldview of the Monster Hunter Now game. Yasutaka Nakata, a pioneer of Japanese electronic music who is also active in the field of game music, co-wrote and arranged the song. The lyrics are packed with Ayase’s love for Monster Hunter, and the song has a playful and exciting sound. The music video was also produced in collaboration with Monster Hunter Now. The game’s distinctive feature, the confrontation with monsters that unfolds in the city, is depicted through illustrations and CG animation.

The video features hunter Ayase as an avatar who jumps into the world of Monster Hunter Now, struggling to defeat the monsters that appear in the game, and is an exhilarating video that features both passionate hunts and group hunts with friends.

Also, a short version of “From Now!” is being exclusively distributed in advance in “Monster Hunter Now” from August 27. In the game, you can obtain collaboration items in limited quests that coincide with the collaboration event, and by wearing them you can hunt while listening to the song, so be sure to enjoy the game while listening to the song.

■Ayase’s comment
This time, I have provided a song called “From Now!”. “Monster Hunter” was the game that got me interested in video games, and it was the first game I was completely absorbed in playing. When I was creating the song, I incorporated the worldview of “Monster Hunter” into the lyrics, and included what I think are the fun elements of “Monster Hunter” in the song, filling it with “Monster Hunter love.”
With each new installment of the Monster Hunter series, new systems are introduced, and I feel that fans and newcomers alike are constantly stimulated. This constant updating has influenced my music-making, and I want to create works that people can enjoy without getting bored. I want people who listen to my music to feel surprised and excited, and stimulated by the thought, “What, this song, I’ve never heard it before.”
