■ATEEZ’s MINGI wrote the lyrics as a producer, aggressively expressing his own idea of ”royalty”
ATEEZ has collaborated with BE:FIRST to release the collaborative song “Royal” worldwide on September 4th as ATEEZ X BE:FIRST.
The official lyric video, which expresses the worldview of the song, was also released. The video features lyrics produced by the band member MINGI.
“Royal” is a song with a heavy sound and a tempo that changes with the tempo, and expresses his own idea of ”nobility” through aggressive lyrics. Various products and advertisements are produced with playing cards as a motif.
ATEEZ will also release their fourth single “Birthday” in Japan on October 2nd.
The title track “Birthday” was written by MINGI specifically for this original Japanese single, and contains the message of facing anything fearlessly and enjoying life like it’s your birthday every day. The song has an addictive melody that makes you naturally get into the rhythm when you listen to it.
The second track is the collaboration song “Royal” by ATEEZ X BE:FIRST. As MINGI’s liner notes make clear, this song was produced by MINGI himself, and with a heavy sound and a tempo that varies between fast and slow, he expresses his own idea of what “royalty” is through aggressive lyrics.
The third track, “Forevermore,” was written specifically for this Japanese original single, just like “Birthday.” It begins with a beautiful piano melody and is a mid-tempo ballad that expresses the love for the person who will walk with you into the future. The vocal rap lines sung by the members as if they are talking to each other are also worth noting.
Like their previous album “NOT OKAY,” this album will be released in three versions: first pressing A, first pressing B, the fan club exclusive ATINY version, the regular version, and the first pressing flash price version. Solo versions by each member will also be released exclusively at UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE.
