BTS’ “IDOL” MV views surpass 1.3 billion! 5th work to surpass 1.3 billion views

■This is the 39th BTS MV to reach over a billion views!

The number of views on YouTube for the music video for “IDOL,” the title track from BTS’ repackaged album “LOVE YOURSELF ‘ANSWER’,” released in August 2018, surpassed 1.3 billion at around 8 a.m. on September 4.

In the “IDOL” music video, BTS boasts gorgeous visuals. They delivered a powerful performance on a luxurious set that combined Euro-Asian architecture with traditional Korean style, garnering attention from people all over the world. The performance incorporates Korean elements such as the folk music Samulnori and the folk art of Talchum, and graphic effects are added to enhance the performance.

In addition, the music video for “IDOL” won the Music Video of 2018 award at the 2018 E! People’s Choice Awards in the US.

This is BTS’ fifth MV to surpass 1.3 billion views, and their 39th MV to reach the billion mark.
