■This PV features the first public appearance of excerpts from Sakanaction’s “Kaiju” and Yorushika’s “Aporia”!
The TV anime “Chi. -About the Movement of the Earth-” (NHK General TV), which features Sakanaction’s “Kaiju” as the opening theme song and Yorushika’s “Aporia” as the ending song, will premiere on October 5th at 11:45pm (episodes 1 and 2 will be broadcast consecutively for the first episode). This time, the official PV, which features parts of songs by Sakanaction and Yorushika, has been released.
“Chi. – About the Movement of the Earth” is an anime based on the masterpiece manga by Uoto (serialized in “Big Comic Spirits” from September 2020 to April 2022), which has won numerous awards including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
The newly released PV depicts the prodigy Rafał, who is fascinated by the possibility and beauty of the heliocentric theory after hearing Hubert’s words, “I’m going to move the Earth now,” and his intellectual curiosity is stimulated as he risks his life to prove it. While he strongly feels the presence of the heretic examiner Novak, who will do anything to protect the order of this world, Rafał, who does not compromise his own beliefs and pursues the truth that lies beyond “earth,” “knowledge,” and “blood,” is further highlighted by the opening and theme song “Kaiju” by Sakanaction and the ending song “Aporia” by Yorushika.
In addition, we also see people who inherited Rafał’s fiery conviction and confront the truth of this world. In Hubert’s lines, “Common sense is overturned, and beauty and logic meet” — the video gives a glimpse of a part of the heart-wrenching story woven by people who have no doubt about that moment.
In addition, after each episode of the TV anime has aired, it will be streamed worldwide on Netflix and for free on ABEMA.
