■ Five years after their debut, a message song that they want to deliver to the people of their generation who live today has been born
Girls2 (the official spelling is 2 to the power of 2) has released the music video for “Yorimichi -Take it easy baby-,” the lead song from their latest EP “Yorimichi -Take it easy baby-” (on sale October 30th).
This song was created as a “message song that we want to deliver to the same generation living in the present.” Unlike the group’s previous image that was centered on catchy dance pop, the lyrics contain expressions that reveal the members’ own weaknesses, giving the impression that Girls2 has matured even further after their 5th anniversary since debut.
The entire music video was shot in Aichi. It is a relaxed, heartwarming and peaceful video in which the members depict how a small detour turns into an incredibly big detour, and conveys the message that “Even if you stray from the path you were trying to take, or take a detour, in the end everything will work out. It’s okay.”
The relaxed dance scenes also add color to this music video. The choreography is by Taiga, who has created a lot of dance buzz with his vertical videos. Pay attention to the life-sized expressions that only he, who is the same generation as the Girls2 members, can do.
“Detour -Take it easy baby-” is currently available for pre-order.
