Hana Hope’s new song “Akairo” has been chosen as the ending theme for the second season of the TV anime “The Seven Deadly Sins: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,” which will begin airing on October 6. It was also announced that it will be released as a CD single on December 4 and will be released online on October 7.

The TV anime “The Seven Deadly Sins: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” is a thrilling adventure fantasy based on the manga “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” by Nakaba Suzuki, which is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” as a legitimate sequel to “The Seven Deadly Sins”. The story begins when Percival, a kind-hearted boy who lives with his grandfather in a remote area, sets off on an endless journey after meeting the mysterious knight Eloncid. The first season of the TV anime will air for two consecutive seasons from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season will be broadcast on 28 TBS affiliated stations nationwide every Sunday at 4:30 pm from October 6th.

“Akairo” is a mid-tempo ballad with lyrical lyrics that explore the universal theme of “thinking of people” that transcends physical distance. The lyrics, composition, and arrangement were handled by UTA, who also worked on the single “Kieu Made.” It will be released as Hana Hope’s third single.

To coincide with the release of the single, a release commemorative premium live event will be held at a location in Tokyo on December 7th for those who preorder the CD on Amazon.co.jp, where they can enjoy a mini live show and talk. For details such as the application period, check Hana Hope’s official website and SNS.

Hana Hope’s “Summertime Blues,” released digitally in August, was picked up by major domestic and global playlists on various subscription services, and reached the second highest position on J-WAVE’s TOKIO HOT100. Expectations are high for her further leap with her third single, “Akairo.”

Comment from Hana Hope
I am very happy to be in charge of the theme song for the historic anime series “The Seven Deadly Sins”!
I created the new song “Akairo” while thinking about what kind of song would be able to accompany the world of this beloved work.
In “The Seven Deadly Sins: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,” Percival experiences many partings and encounters during his adventure, but continues to fight positively.
The color red represents both life and death, and shows that they are connected.
And to live is to face death. “Akairo” expresses this reassuring quality.
I would be happy if this song inspires something in those who listen to it.
Thank you for your cooperation!
