It has been announced that “Celebrity Rating Check Autumn 3-Hour Special”, hosted by Masatoshi Hamada, will be broadcast from 7pm on October 1st.
“Celebrity Rating Check” is the original rating variety show, where first-class entertainers appear in teams. With each mistake, the rank goes down from first-class to normal to second-class to third-class to look-alike. And in the end, they are deemed “not worth showing” and disappear from the screen.
This time, 13 people will be participating for the first time: Nanao, Iura Arata, Shirota Yu, Nakao Akiyoshi, Paris Olympic judo gold medalists Tsunoda Natsumi and Deguchi Krista, Hey! Say! JUMP’s Nakajima Yuto and Inoo Kei, Sakurazaka46’s Moriya Reina, Matsuda Rina, and Ozono Rei, and EXIT’s Kanechika Daiki and Rintaro. Will Yamazaki Ten (Sakurazaka46/崎 is officially spelled ‘tatsusaki’), who was a top celebrity when she appeared last time (autumn 2021), be able to maintain her top-class status with the members who are participating for the first time!? This three-hour autumn special features six checks related to “food and art.” The final check is “eel.” Teams compare three unaju dishes, A, B, and C, and try to guess which one is made with high-quality natural eel. The incorrect answer is an unaju made with overseas eel purchased from a supermarket. The “Absolutely Unbelievable Unaju” uses catfish, which was cooked by Hamada, a total novice at cooking. He apparently looked up how to cook it online before the show. In the final check, teams with an incorrect answer will be demoted by two ranks, and if they choose the “Absolutely Unbelievable Unaju” cooked by Hamada, then any team will be eliminated immediately, regardless of their rank.
So far, Hamada has made “sukiyaki,” “sweet and sour pork,” “beef stew,” “seafood fried rice,” and “gyoza,” fooling the palates of top entertainers.
