■ “Amazing…! It’s round! I love circles! Thank you.” (Ano-chan)
The drama “Tamiou R” starring Kenichi Endo will start airing on TV Asahi in October. As anticipation for the first episode grows, Endo, Kazuya Ohashi (Naniwa Danshi), and Ano have started filming.
The day was the birthday of Ano, who plays Saejima Yuka, the first public secretary of Muto Taizan, played by Endo, so Endo and Ohashi made a surprise appearance with a cake and sang a birthday song. The unexpected surprise on the first day of filming warmed the set with Ano’s typical joy, saying, “Wow! It’s round! I like circles! Thank you very much.” He also renewed his determination for “Minna no Ou R,” saying, “Let’s work together as one from today onwards! Thank you very much!”
The drama “Tamiou R” is inspired by the original novel “Tamiou” written by author Ikeido Jun, who is known for the “Hanzawa Naoki” series, “Shitamachi Rocket” series, and “Hayabusa Fire Brigade,” and will be “renewed” and “rebooted” for the first time in nine years since it was first broadcast in 2015.
The previous work was a cynical and sometimes heartwarming depiction of an unprecedented and bizarre incident in which the minds and bodies of the current Prime Minister Muto Taizan (played by Endo) and his foolish son Sho (played by Suda Masaki) were swapped. In this latest work, “Tamiou R”, Taizan, who has once again assumed the position of Prime Minister, is once again faced with a body-swap situation. What’s more, this time the “body-swap target” is the entire nation. Each episode unfolds a bizarre story in which the Prime Minister is randomly swapped with a citizen.
