■Snow Man’s Watanabe Shota and SixTONES’ Morimoto Shintaro talk about how their relationship is one in which they complement each other and improve each other because they are “not similar” in appearance or personality

The cover of the special edition of the November issue of “MAQUIA” (on sale September 21st) features a photo of Watanabe Shota (Snow Man) and Morimoto Shintaro (SixTONES), who co-star in the stage play “DREAM BOYS.”

Since its premiere in 2000, the popular stage play “DREAM BOYS” has been repeatedly performed with updated casts and content. Snow Man’s Watanabe Shota and SixTONES’ Morimoto Shintaro will be joining the main cast for the second time in 2023.

The two have been on stage together since their junior days, sharing both hardships and joys, so the atmosphere on set was relaxed from start to finish, from filming to the interview. During the interview, they sat side by side, sometimes commenting on each other’s comments, sometimes nodding quietly, and sometimes laughing heartily, creating a warm atmosphere.

In addition to the Q&A section highlighting the individual personalities of Watanabe and Morimoto, the special feature in this magazine also features a full conversation between the two of them together. Watanabe and Morimoto both say that the deciding factor for them to appear in the stage production of “DREAM BOYS” was “because he was the one,” giving a glimpse into the strong bond between them. They say that they are “not alike” in terms of appearance or personality, which is why they are able to complement each other and improve each other.
