■TAIKING’s new song “Day Life (feat. iri)” will be released on October 19th!
TAIKING is a guitarist for the rock band Suchmos, and has been active in a wide range of fields, including supporting the live performances of many popular artists. The third wave of artists for his solo project, a collaboration song series that began in June, has been announced.
The guest for the third song is singer-songwriter iri.
The song title is “Day Life (feat. iri)”. This song was written specifically for the “niko and … 2024 Autumn/Winter BRAND MOVIE” and will be released on October 9th. Prior to the release, a part of the song will be available to listen to in the niko and … brand movie from September 12th.
The brand video features brand ambassadors Takumi Kitamura and Kaya Kiyohara. Their lip-syncing conversations are synchronized with the song, creating a playful video.
The lyrics for the song were written by TAIKING and iri. TAIKING has participated as a support guitarist in iri’s live tours and festivals, and the two are in perfect harmony as they have a regular relationship. The lo-fi chill sound blends naturally into people’s lives, making it a song that suits them. In addition, a winter-themed arranged version of the song will be released exclusively in the brand movie at a later date.
