BUMP OF CHICKEN collaborates with “Transformers”! Special movie featuring “Mayday” released

■BUMP OF CHICKEN x “Transformers” collaboration products are also in production

It has been announced that BUMP OF CHICKEN will be collaborating with the transforming robot characters “Transformers” (released by Takara Tomy Co., Ltd.).

Transformers celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, having released “Convoy” in 1984 (launched in Japan in 1985), a robot that transforms from a vehicle. A special movie commemorating the 40th anniversary of Transformers was produced by TRIGGER, the animation studio that has brought us many classic anime such as “Dungeon Meshi”, “Promare”, and “Kill la Kill”.

The song used is “Mayday” by BUMP OF CHICKEN, which was released in 2007 and has remained popular ever since, making it a luxurious album worthy of celebrating the 40th anniversary of Transformers.

In addition, the production of the collaboration product “BUMP OF CHICKEN CONVOY” is also underway. This product features colors reminiscent of the members of BUMP OF CHICKEN, and appears as a new convoy that has an important presence in the 40th anniversary special movie. We will have to wait for further information on the release date.
