■An image of the track list design for XG’s “AWE” has also been released!
The title of XG’s second mini album, to be released on November 8th, has been decided as “AWE.”
The second mini album, released about a year after their previous work, expresses XG’s attempt to get closer to the world through the communication method of “music”. When a new entity appears, people feel fear and curiosity, and in the process of accepting it, they experience a psychological process called AWE. The second mini album gives this AWE and also provides a special experience with XG’s music in everyday life.
Additionally, an image showing the track list of a total of eight songs was also released. Two songs, “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” and “WOKE UP REMIXX”, can be confirmed, but the names of the other six songs have yet to be revealed.
The album lineup includes the XG ver., a package that includes a symbolic story that represents the world of XG, and the ALPHAZ ver., a special package for the XG OFFICIAL FANCLUB “ALPHAZ”. There is also a Solo ver., which features individual cover and CD designs that reflect the individuality of each member, and a Regular ver., which symbolizes the identity of the entire group. In addition, the VINYL ver., which was well received following the previous work, will be released again this time. Pre-orders will begin on the 13th at the XG OFFICIAL US SHOP and US Store.
“SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” (released on July 26th), the first track off their second mini-album, topped the Billboard Global Japan Songs chart “Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan” for two consecutive weeks and has been ranked in the overall chart “Hot 100” for six consecutive weeks. It has been ranked in the YouTube Trending Chart in 27 countries and regions, ranked first on the iTunes Song Chart (Dance) in 14 countries and regions, and even in Japan, it topped J-WAVE’s “TOKIO HOT100” for the first time, sweeping charts both in Japan and overseas.
XG recently finished the Asian leg of their 3-month world tour, “The first HOWL.” With tickets selling out at many venues, the tour took in 12 venues in Asia, including Osaka, Yokohama, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing, drawing a total of 120,000 spectators.
