“Kenshi Yonezu 2023 TOUR / Fantasy” global theatrical release date and theaters announced

The release dates and theaters in each country for “KENSHI YONEZU 2023 TOUR / FANTASY,” the global theatrical screening of Kenshi Yonezu’s live tour “Kenshi Yonezu 2023 TOUR / Fantasy,” which ran from April to July 2023, have been decided.

“Kenshi Yonezu 2023 TOUR / Fantasy” is distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll.

The films will be released one after another from September 24th at the following venues: Vue London West End in London, England; Pathe La Villette in Paris, France (the “e” in Pathe is officially spelled with an acute accent); Regal LA Live in Los Angeles, USA; Regal Union Square in New York, USA; Cineplex Yonge-Dundas in Toronto, Canada; and Event Cinemas George Street in Sydney, Australia. Details of the four South American cities will be announced at a later date.

The film was released early in South Korea under distribution by CGV, and has been showing at 22 theaters of the large CGV cinema complex, mainly in Seoul, since September 11th, generating great excitement.

The footage of “Kenshi Yonezu 2023 TOUR / Fantasy,” which will be screened in theaters around the world, is from the tour’s final performance, held at Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa on July 2, 2023.

The album features a secret performance of “Globe,” the theme song for the film “How Do You Live?” by director Hayao Miyazaki (the official spelling of “崎” is “tatsusaki”), about which information had not yet been released at the time, and preserves the warm yet tense singing of the song from the time.The album also includes 23 other songs, such as “KICK BACK,” “Kanden,” and “Uma to Shika,” which feature spectacular and aggressive performances with dancers, and “Lemon,” “M87,” “Fireworks,” and “Gray and Blue,” which are emotionally sung.

The footage is included on the Blu-ray/DVD digital edition of their 6th album “LOST CORNER” released in Japan.

Starting in January 2025, Kenshi Yonezu will embark on his “Kenshi Yonezu 2025 TOUR / JUNK”. The Japan tour will be his largest to date, with a total of 16 shows at arenas and domes, and he is also planning his first world tour with eight shows in six cities across Asia, Europe, and the United States. The second round of tickets for the domestic shows is currently open for registration, and entries can be made using the serial number included in the album “LOST CORNER”.
