Kusanagi praises the female junior high school student president! “I like this kind of thing,” Katori says with an enthusiastic offer, “How many pieces can you make when collaborating?”

“Nanani Underground Abema” is a regular Abema program featuring Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (the official spelling of “nagi” is the old-style character for “bow” with the character for “front” and “sword”), and Katori Shingo.

Episode 42 aired on September 15th at 8pm.

In episode 42, titled “Starting businesses in your teens! A special gathering of Reiwa’s teenage CEOs,” Mizuno Mai, Sora, Raewon, and Lara, who all started businesses in their teens, appear as guests.

Who are they? Why did they start businesses in their teens? What kind of companies are they running? We got a glimpse into the real lives of these teenage CEOs who are the talk of the town right now.

As the conversation turned to various topics, Mai Mizuno, a second-year junior high school student and president of Myerings Inc., appeared in the studio. Ms. Mizuno explained that when she was a child, she admired the earrings her mother wore, but was told that she could only get her ears pierced after turning 20, which prompted her to invent “Myerings.”

These “Mayerings” are made by drilling holes in hairpins and threading ornaments through them to make them look like earrings or pierced earrings. When Kusanagi learned about them, he showed great interest, saying, “They’re lovely, I love these kinds of things.” He also said, “They have a groove to them, like the horsehair ones that Native Americans wear.”

Mizuno further revealed that he obtained a patent for the “Mayring” when he was in the fifth grade of elementary school, founded his company a year later, and that he currently makes all of his Mayrings by hand. Kusanagi praised him, saying, “I love this kind of thing,” “You’re a craftsman, aren’t you?” and “I love the fact that no two are the same.”

Furthermore, Katori also seemed to be attracted to Mizuno’s “Mayerings,” which have sold 5 million yen worth of items in just two years, despite being a second-year junior high school student, and even made a comment hinting at a request to place an order, asking, “How many can you make for a collaboration?”

In response to this enthusiastic offer, Mizuno blurted out his future vision, saying, “I want to sell things that you (the Nanani members) have designed.” EXIT member Rintaro, who had been listening to their exchange, commented, “This is turning into a business meeting,” causing the studio to erupt in excitement.

Other teenage CEOs featured in the program include Sora, who started a business at age 15 that is running a new and unprecedented advertising business; Lara, who started a business in Kenya and is now a multilingual CEO; and Raewon, who started a business at age 12 and has been praised for his talent by many talented managers.

“Nanani Underground ABEMA” #42, in which each of them spoke at length about their own businesses, is currently being streamed on “ABEMA.”

Next week, episode 43, which will air on September 22nd, will be titled “Nanani Underground Abema Masterpiece Selection,” and will update the episodes that caused a stir since the program was renewed, aiming to create a buzz again.

Furthermore, on the program, Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori revealed their thoughts on the 7th anniversary of Atarashii Chizu.

What was the incident that made them say, “It ignited our vague thoughts,” “It felt like we were back at the time of our debut,” and “Those tears were the real start”?
