Matsudaira Ken is smitten by Hashimoto Kanna’s “gal look”!? “What do you think? Doesn’t my granddaughter look cute like this?”

■The “200% gal visual” of heroine Yoneda Yui, played by Hashimoto Kanna, from the NHK morning drama “Omusubi” has been revealed!

Kanna Hashimoto’s “200% gal visual” has been released from the NHK morning drama “Omusubi” which will start airing on September 30th. In addition, a comment video of Ken Matsudaira, who plays Nagayoshi, the grandfather of the heroine Yui Yoneda, played by Kanna Hashimoto, including a boast about his grandchild (lol), has also been released.

Set in the Heisei era, the protagonist encounters gal culture and eventually becomes a nutritionist, creating important connections, people, and the future in the Heisei era youth graffiti story “Omusubi.”

Yui (Hashimoto Kanna), a normally simple high school girl, meets a group of girls by chance and goes to a festival in Itoshima, Fukuoka to help them by donning “super flashy gal makeup.” At first, Yui is at the mercy of the unique gal group. However, as she learns about the circumstances they face and sees them trying to live happily, she gradually realizes that it’s okay to enjoy life to the fullest.

Yui transforms into a gal with her “indomitable gal mind” to live happily in these difficult times. Let’s look forward to the start of the broadcast while enjoying Kanna Hashimoto’s intense gal look, which was also praised by Riisa Naka at the press conference.

Be sure to check out the video of Matsudaira Ken’s comment, in which he is completely smitten, saying, “What do you think? Doesn’t my granddaughter look cute like this?”

■Comment from Production Manager Takashi Usagawa
“Cherish what you like and enjoy the present to the fullest” — that is the sentiment that is infused into the “gals” that appear in this work. Although they have fears about the past and future, they first value themselves in this moment. I felt that this very attitude could be a “signpost” in today’s world where the future is so uncertain. The way of life known as the “gal mind” makes our hearts lighter and happier. That is the kind of story I would like to present to you.

I believe that the heroine, Yoneda Yui, played by Hashimoto Kanna, will also inspire viewers and give them a reason to live their daily lives in a positive way as she embodies gal culture. She plays the “gal mind” behind her flashy fashion and words – “super cute!” and her attitude of trying to enjoy everything, with all her might. First of all, try to enjoy the present. The path will naturally open up as you do so. I hope that this message will reach many people through Yui.
