DREAMS COME TRUE, celebrating their 35th anniversary since their debut, will appear on NHK’s “SONGS” for the first time in four years.

On July 7th, a day designated as “Dreams Come True Day” after the annual Tanabata festival, Dreams Come True held a special live concert in Ikeda, Hokkaido, the hometown of vocalist Yoshida Miwa. The SONGS camera followed the event, which attracted a total of 15,000 people, more than twice the town’s population. What can Dreams Come True do now for their hometown? We look into Dreams Come True’s current thoughts after 35 years.

In addition, this time, the two members of DREAMS COME TRUE were interviewed together. From the super rare footage of their first appearance on an NHK music program as DREAMS COME TRUE to the famous scenes from the “Kohaku Uta Gassen” where they performed many of their hit songs, along with precious archive footage, they talk about their feelings towards singing, which have not changed since their debut.

In the studio, Oizumi Yo, the person in charge, presses Nakamura Masato about Dreams Come True’s 35-year history, and also reveals fond memories of Dreams Come True singing with Oizumi at a concert 20 years ago. Furthermore, among the memories Yoshida Miwa shares from her elementary school days, there is a keyword that Oizumi can’t miss! The strange bond that connects Oizumi and Dreams Come True is also revealed. And finally, the two members of Dreams Come True each answered, “What is the one kanji character that represents the 35th anniversary?”

The program will exclusively air performance footage of songs from the set list that Yoshida Miwa personally selected for this concert, which she says “is a perfect fit for the scenery of Ikeda Town,” including “Haretara Ii ne,” which was announced as the theme song for the NHK morning drama, and “Anata to Turattatta♪,” as well as “Kaiju” and “ALMOST HOME.”
