“DASH Village” has been growing rice for 24 years. Shintaro Morimoto (SixTONES), who is taking on the challenge of sowing seeds for the first time, brings about an “eye-opening” revolution that even his predecessors were unaware of.

■Started growing rice using seeds that have been tied together for 23 years
The setting for DASH Village’s 24th year of rice cultivation is Otama Village, Fukushima Prefecture, which overlooks Mt. Adatara, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.
“We want to grow a lot of good rice this year in the terraced rice fields that we cultivated with our own hands a year ago.”
The first step required for this is “salt water selection”, which selects only the highest quality seeds from the seeds harvested last year. Morimoto, who was given this important role and was taking on the Shiomizu selection for the first time, came up with an innovative method that only a wild child could do, saying, “I’ll do it my way.” Will Taichi Kokubun succeed with a secret plan that will surprise him?
Furthermore, when planting seeds for the first time, Morimoto says, “I thought of something really genius…” and succeeded in saving time with an “eye-opening” idea that no one had noticed before.

Kokubu and Matsushima headed to the Tama River in spring. In fact, there is information that Yokai Yoko, a mythical wild creature that disappeared 30 years ago, has reappeared in this area.
Kokubun and Matsushima search along the Tama River, hoping that if they can find this species, which is said to be extinct in urban areas, it will give them a hint for building rooftops where people and creatures can live together. Then, they discover Yoko’s lost item. What is the true identity of the monster Yoko who is attacking the big city for the first time in 30 years?
