The new Monday 10pm drama “Monster” (Kansai TV/Fuji TV), starring Shuri and featuring Jesse (SixTONES), will begin airing on October 14th. Scene photos and a synopsis of the first episode have now been released.

This unique legal entertainment piece follows the mysterious monster lawyer, Kannami Ryoko, who is not bound by “common sense” and faces her opponents by “eliminating emotions,” as she faces various problems unique to the Reiwa era, where the law sometimes has not kept up, and takes on court battles as if they were a game.

The first episode will be broadcast from 10pm on October 14th.

■ Episode 1 Synopsis
Ryoko Kannami (Shuri) suddenly appears at the “Keiko Okusa Law Firm” where Keiko Okusa (YOU) is the director, and says, “I’ve decided to try being a lawyer.” Ryoko doesn’t look like a lawyer, and no one knows who she is. She just shows off her lawyer’s badge, and young lawyer Yoshihiro Sugiura (Jesse), a graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law, is taken aback. However, Okusa, who seems to have known that Ryoko was coming, readily accepts her.

Furthermore, Ryoko volunteers to defend Shioya Ryo, who was indicted on charges of instigating suicide, something Sugiura had intended to decline. He sent a message to his girlfriend, Kawano Sae, telling her to “die,” even though he knew that she had attempted suicide in the past. Furthermore, she was so mentally ill that she was visiting counselor Umemoto Masumi on a daily basis. Instigating suicide is a rare case, so Sugiura advises that it is too difficult for a newbie to take on the case, but instead, he is ordered by Okusa to support Ryoko.

During the meeting, Shioya, who looked completely haggard, apologized to Sae for her suicide and said that he had never wished for her death, but rather that he himself had wanted to die. In fact, the conversation between the two just before her death began with Shioya saying that he wanted to disappear.

Ryoko goes to Sae’s boss, Kamioka, and Sae’s parents’ house to hear her story, but naturally, they are not going to listen to Ryoko, who is the defendant’s lawyer. With no other options, Ryoko takes an unexpected action.
