INI will appear in the promotional video and poster visuals for “Tokyo Treasure Island.”

Yoshimoto Kogyo, which was commissioned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote the branding of “Tokyo Treasure Island” by unearthing and widely disseminating “treasures” and hidden charms such as local resources, specialty products, history, and culture in order to realize a vibrant and lively island region, produced this video and poster. Eleven members of INI actually visited the island region and filmed on location at various famous places on the island, resulting in a powerful content that is just like a movie trailer.

The film is packed with the charm of “Tokyo Treasure Island” and INI, including interview cuts in which each member of INI talks about the charm of their own “favorite island” out of the 11 islands, as well as behind-the-scenes shots taken during breaks in filming.

This work will be previewed at a promotional booth set up at Tourism EXPO Japan 2024, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from September 26th. In addition to video screenings, the venue will feature a variety of events, including photo spots, a gachapon machine where participants can win local specialties, and a tasting corner for island sake, a local specialty.

The promotional video will also be distributed on Tokyo Takarajima’s official YouTube channel and Yoshimoto Kogyo’s official YouTube channel from September 30th.

■INI Interview
Q. Did you know that there is an island like this in Tokyo?
Takatsuka Taimu (the official spelling of “taka” is “hashigo-daka”):I knew about it before, but it was only when I came here that I realized what an attractive and beautiful place it was. I never thought I’d be able to experience such a resort atmosphere so close to where I live, so I had a lot of fun.

Q. There are 11 islands in Tokyo Treasure Island. Have you visited any of them?
Masaya Kimura:I’ve been to Shikinejima. I introduced Shikinejima in a promotional video, and it has beautiful starry skies and natural hot springs. I once saw the starry sky while bathing in a hot spring, and it was a truly wonderful time. I think each of the 11 islands has its own unique charm, so I encourage you to visit the different islands.

Q. Mr. Tajima, you’re from Tokyo. How did you feel when you heard that you would be promoting “Tokyo Treasure Island”?
Shogo Tajima:To be honest, I was surprised. I never thought it would be such an honor for us to be able to promote an island in Tokyo, so I was very surprised and happy!

Q. Having actually filmed on the island, was there anything that made an impression on you?
Heo Pung-fan:There was a sunset scene, and it was really beautiful. We had a little free time, so we all played on the beach. We didn’t have that kind of time before, so I felt like I was really young.

Q. Please give a message to people who are planning to visit the island.
Nishi Hiroto:I’ve been to many places before, but this time I personally had a lot of fun. It was so much fun that I wanted to stay longer, and I want to go privately too, so let’s all go together! Just kidding (lol). Everyone, please go to “Tokyo Treasure Island” to make some fun memories!
