■The final guest on the Sunday morning slot of “Nino-san” will be Shuri, who has excellent chemistry with Ninomiya Kazunari and Kikuchi Fuma!
“Nino-san” (every Sunday from 10:25am) will be broadcast on Nippon Television on September 22nd.
Starting in October, “Nino-san” will be broadcast in the prime time slot of 7pm on Fridays. There are only two episodes left in the Sunday morning slot, and the last guest on Sunday mornings will be Shuri, who has worked with MC Kazunari Ninomiya in a TV drama and regular member Fuma Kikuchi in a movie, making for a great pair.
Shuri, who until recently co-starred with Ninomiya in a drama, praised him highly, saying, “The atmosphere on set changes completely when Ninomiya is there, but (he) is very calm. Everyone is doing their best to ‘keep up with Nino.'”
Ninomiya lovingly teases Shuri, and the exchange shows how close they are, immediately drawing laughter from the studio. Meanwhile, Kikuchi, who co-starred with Shuri in a movie, also confesses a secret memory of her. “She’s a pretty normal person, but she does have some weird sides,” Kikuchi says, to which Shuri replies with a laugh, “No!” This episode of “Nino-san” is packed with Shuri’s true face.
On the show, Shuri will investigate what gourmet food she most wants to eat right now and what she is most curious about, and she will also compete in a game with a prize at stake, leading to some memorable battles that will go down in the show’s memorable moments.
■Shuri takes part in a quiz to find out what gourmet food she most wants to eat right now!
In the “Guest Request Research” segment, the Timon D duo investigates what foods Shuri is most interested in at the moment: “Tsukiji gourmet” and “sushi restaurants that are hard to get reservations at.”
“I used to go to Tsukiji a lot, but I don’t know much about what it’s like since it moved to Toyosu, so I’d like to know how lively it is!” says Shuri, and Timon-D goes on a walking tour of Tsukiji Outer Market, home to around 400 food specialty shops, in search of recommended gourmet food.
Feeling the energy of the market firsthand, the excited two say, “Shuri, thank you for calling it Tsukiji!” as they gorge on the market’s delicious gourmet food, including fresh seafood, exquisite minced cutlet from a long-established butcher shop, a new type of Tsukiji sweet that sells 500 pieces a day, and Tsukiji’s specialty stewed offal that has customers lining up to try.
Afterwards, they head to Ginza in search of a “sushi restaurant that is impossible to get a reservation for.” The restaurant they visit is a famous restaurant that is fully booked up for two months in advance. Takagishi Hiroyuki sends his heartfelt encouragement to the chef, who serves up precious Edomae sushi using bluefin tuna air-shipped from Canada without being frozen, a rare sea bream that is rarely available in the Kanto region, and even freshly caught salmon roe.
Then, in the studio, everyone took part in a quiz for the chance to win a gourmet specialty delivered from Tsukiji. The quiz was titled “Croquette? Minced meat cutlet? Which one?” It was a simple quiz to guess whether the deep-fried food in front of them was a croquette or a minced meat cutlet just by looking at it, but everyone was completely confused, with some saying “It might be a croquette” and others saying “But will it rise like that?”
Meanwhile, Shuri confessed that she had coincidentally experienced the game, saying, “The other day, the location lunch said ‘mince cutlet,’ but when I ate it, it was a croquette.” She answered confidently, making use of that experience, but…
■The hugely popular project “TOP 10 Blackjack” will be a memorable battle that will be etched in famous scenes!
Joined by guest Shuri, they compete in the popular “TOP 10 Blackjack” event. Each player guesses what will rank in the top 10 of a certain ranking, and the person whose total is closest to 21 wins the game, and the winner receives a prize.
The first ranking they will tackle is the “Chinese Food Popularity Ranking.” Nao Asahi, who loves Chinese food, predicts that shrimp chili will be ranked high, saying, “When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I always order this,” but Ninomiya predicts shrimp chili to be ranked low, saying, “I like shrimp chili, but…” The ranking of shrimp chili will have a big impact on the outcome. Furthermore, Shuri chooses her favorite gyoza as number one, but what will the ranking result be?
The second ranking is “Generation Z’s Choice!! Moms’ Common Sense.” Here, Kikuchi and Asahi’s intuition shines.
The last one is “Top 10 Loudest Sounds.” Various sounds, such as Japanese drums, alarm clocks, and burps, were surveyed, and the program created its own ranking in order of loudness. Participants compete to see who can guess the sound that will rank in the ranking they are aiming for. In the heated battle where everyone has a chance to win blackjack until the very end, Ninomiya was also very excited, saying, “We’re playing high-level blackjack!” Miracles kept happening, and the outcome of this fierce battle was a must-watch.
In addition, Ninomiya and Kikuchi give Shuri, who complains of physical discomfort, saying, “Every year, my neck, shoulders, and back start to hurt…”, some advice on how to improve her condition. Furthermore, a foot massage specialist appears to fulfill Shuri’s wish to be “given to a skilled person” as she is addicted to foot massage. Shuri is in trouble after receiving a “super painful foot massage” that is even more painful than she had imagined!
The final episode of the regular Sunday morning slot, which will be broadcast on September 29th, will feature a special “Nino Family Rally.” The event will feature a look back at “famous moments that the Nino Family will never forget” and a “suggestion box for how to make the show better,” as well as a look at the lively rally that was held ahead of the show’s move to 7pm on Fridays.
