BABYMONSTER held their 1st fan meeting “BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE” on May 11th and 12th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, their first performance in Japan.

The MVs of BABYMONSTER that have been released so far are played in order on the LED vision, and the cheers of fans who are eagerly waiting for the performance to begin gradually grow louder.

As the darkness faded and the audience seats were bathed in red lights, the sound of “MONSTERS (Intro)” and the silhouettes of the seven people appeared, and screams were heard.

BABYMONSTER, dressed in cool black costumes, will kick off the event with their official debut song “SHEESH,” which has set many brilliant records. From the beginning, Ahyun dominated with her powerful dance and high-quality singing skills as everyone held hand microphones, and after belting out a long, high-pitched tone, she exclaimed, “TOKYO, Are you ready?”

A complete change from her charismatic performance, her talk took on a friendly and cute mood.

In the individual greetings, Asa, who is from Japan, expressed his thoughts, saying, “It’s my first fan meeting and I’m really nervous right now. We’ve prepared very hard, so let’s make fun memories together!”

Next up was “LIKE THAT,” which was performed for the first time that day. Charlie Puth was involved in the production of this song, and the seven members expressed it with a sexy atmosphere as well as supple dance moves.

A planned corner will be held here where you can meet the MC and learn more about the true faces of the members.

First of all, “BM RANDOM PROFILE”. The project involves completing each member’s profile by answering questions. It introduced the real faces of the members and made us feel the gap between them and the talented performers.

Then, the seven members performed “2NE1 MASH UP”, which was performed as a group dance mission in the debut reality project “Last Evaluation” before becoming BABYMONSTER.

The song is a mashup of 2NE1’s senior artists, 2NE1’s “I AM THE BEST”, “FIRE”, and “CAN’T NOBODY”, and the members performed dynamic synchronized dance to the strong beat. Rami, who performed a spectacular high kick during the song, said, “Since it was a stage that everyone liked, I specially prepared it,” and Palita said, “I will show everyone the stage I prepared for ‘Last Evaluation’ in person. I was very happy to be able to do that,” he said beamingly.

Furthermore, the debut song “BATTER UP” released in November 2023 will be performed in Japanese version for the first time, surprising the audience. Luka raised the vibe of his rapping, creating a sense of exhilaration that can only be expected from a live performance, and the venue was filled with excitement. Toward the end of the match, images of fireworks going off inside the stadium were shown on the screen, creating a spectacular scene.

With the VTR in between, BABYMONSTER reappeared in fresh white clothing. At the “Message Board” corner where the members answered questions submitted in advance by the audience, Chiquita was asked, “Who is your favorite Japanese character?” and answered, “Actually, like ASA, I like Kuromi! ” he answered.

Rami also responded to the question “Tell me your favorite part of “BATTER UP” with “Luka’s rap part!” In response to the request, Rami brilliantly improvised and expressed RUKA’s high-speed rap. Ta .

There will also be a “BM STUDIO” corner where each team member draws a picture for 3 seconds and the audience guesses the theme. There were some unusual answer illustrations that seemed difficult to get right, but all of the fans who were designated as answerers answered correctly.

The game ended in a draw, and everyone was given a crown as a reward. In addition, BABYBONSTER has come up with various ideas to create an event to entertain fans, such as a corner where autographed goods will be given away through a lottery.

Before the final performance, the seven members greeted each other in turn. Ahhyun said, “Thank you to everyone who came today. It feels like the time has passed so quickly. I was so moved by how everyone focused and watched the stage. I really love you all.” “He received warm applause from the fans.

Laura also said, “Thank you for having fun with us. I’m glad that we were able to finish the fan meeting in Tokyo safely.”

In the last part of the main event, the seven members showed off their amazing singing skills in front of the stand microphone.

In the pre-debut song “DREAM” released in May 2023, the lyrics that contain the will and determination of the girls ahead of their debut are sung with videos and photos from their trainee days in the background, inspiring emotion.

In addition, “Stuck In The Middle”, set to a gentle piano melody, is delicately expressed as the seven members make eye contact. Then, during “Scars To Your Beautiful” (original song: Alessia Cara), which was the group vocal mission song for “Last Evaluation,” the members stood shoulder to shoulder, and at the end of the performance, they joined together with the audience in handclaps. All members had overwhelming singing voices that were comparable to main vocals, and the deep harmony resonated.

Even after the main event ended, the cheers and calls for an encore continued, and BABYMONSTER reappeared on stage in response to those calls. He performed “Stuck In The Middle (Remix)” wearing event goods such as a T-shirt and a cap. In contrast to the ballad-like original song from earlier, the stage performance is full of smiles and includes dance.

When the members turned around after singing, there was a surprise slogan on the audience’s hand that read, “Let’s continue to see many different scenery together.” The seven people looked impressed and looked around at the scenery.

The last performance of the stage was a remix version of “BATTER UP”, which was released for the first time that day. The members bounced around to the four-on-the-floor beat, and the audience jumped along with them, making the venue feel like a dance hall. The show was wrapped in a sense of unity and had a gorgeous ending.

The excitement in the venue did not cool down as the voices of encores rang out once again. As if in response, BABYMONSTER performed a rock version of their double encore song “SHEESH,” and throughout the event until the end, BABYMONSTER showed off their monster-like ability, which belies a rookie, their charming charm that is larger than life, and their deep love for their fans. . The fan meeting that started with the Japan performance will be held in Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok.
