Natori & imase release music video for their collaboration song "Metro City"! The theme is "NEO ARTIST"

The second collaboration song by imase and Natori, “Metro City,” was released on September 25th, and the music video was also released.

The music video for this work was directed by video director Udo, who has worked on numerous music videos, including imase’s “Nagisa” and “I say bye.” The video is chock full of scenes that connect to the songs and music videos the duo has released so far, as well as original animations by illustrators KOPAKU and Odori, who are familiar to their fans.

This song is a long-awaited collaboration between imase and Natori, who have been friends for a long time, and was written and composed by them. This is the second collaboration song following Natori & imase’s “Melodrama” released on August 30th.

The song was created around the theme of “moving to Tokyo,” a common theme between the pair, and is a gorgeous dance number based on city pop that expresses the youthful hopes and anxieties of leaving a rural town for the city, and is colored by the duo’s catchy, well-spoken sense of melody, crisp guitar, and refreshing saxophone.

“Metro City” is a song that imase has been performing as a new song at summer festivals in 2024. This will be a long-awaited release for fans who were able to hear it at the festival.

This is a collaboration between Imase and Natori, who have been creating a new form of artist since the dawn of the social media era, and I was very excited when I listened to the song, so I wanted to create a music video that was full of the unique expressions of the two of them and would convey that excitement.
We asked KOPAKU, who is familiar to imase fans, and Odori, who is familiar to Natori fans, to draw original animations, and the video is packed with elements that will be fun for fans of each artist, and connects to their previous songs and music videos, so we hope you will watch it over and over again.
