Shiina (Mizukan) will perform the opening theme song for the drama "Tsudzui-san," which depicts the fun-filled daily life of an otaku girl, and Nishinaga will perform the ending theme song.

Information on the theme song for the drama “Tsudzui-san,” which will begin airing on terrestrial TV on October 10th at 12:59 a.m. on Yomiuri TV Drama DiVE, has been announced. Along with this announcement, comments have arrived from each artist. A promotional video for the first episode has also been released.

The latest series to be adapted into a TV drama is the hugely popular essay comic “Tsujii-san,” which chronicles the ordinary yet incredibly fun life of die-hard “otaku girl” Tsuzui-san and her fun-loving friends.

The opening theme will be “Ningen LOVER” from the solo album of Utaha, who is active in many fields in addition to being the vocalist of Wednesday Campanella and a solo artist, and the ending theme will be “Nekose” by Nishina, a musician who is extremely popular among the younger generation.

The newly released PR video for episode 1 starts with a scene of Tsuzui-san, played by Sawako Fujima, rubbing her buttocks. Friends from her previous life, such as M-chan (Reika Sakurai), who is a BL fan, Okazaki-san (Maria Tani), who is a male idol fan, Tachibana (Yui Kitamura), who is a Sentai hero fan, and Zoffda (Asao Kiryu), who is a female idol fan, appear, and the video is packed with popular stories from the original, such as a sumo scene and a scene where masking tape is put on a wall to match the height of the fan.

In addition, after each episode has aired, it will be distributed on TVer and other video distribution services.

I knew the original illustrations of “Tsujii-san” from the beginning, and when I first heard about it, I was like, “Oh! I know this picture!” and I got really excited (laughs). I was honestly happy to have a theme song for a work I know. “If you change yourself today, you might be able to love yourself more tomorrow.” I think the message of that song overlaps with the work “Tsujii-san”. I would be happy if “Ningen LOVER” could add some color to this work.

When I read Tsuzui’s songs, I feel like I’m one of the friends from a past life. It’s like he’s teaching us the fun of life through the strength and greatness of otaku! I don’t think there are many works that leave no one behind and share a little happiness with everyone!!! And with the drama adaptation, I’m honored to be able to add Tsuzui to the family as the ending theme song! I’m really looking forward to the broadcast! There are many things in life, but let’s go our own way with Nekoze!
