ZEROBASEONE’s new Japanese original song “Only One Story” has been selected as the new opening theme for the TV Tokyo anime series “Pocket Monsters” (every Friday from 6:55pm).
“Only One Story” is a refreshing and upbeat cheering song that sends encouragement to those going on an adventure, saying, “It’s going to be okay.” It is a song that closely follows the worldview of the anime, as Rico Roy, the main character of the TV anime “Pokémon,” draws his unique story and gives courage to move forward with the friends and Pokemon he meets.
It has also been decided that “Only One Story” will be released on October 11th, coinciding with the start of broadcasting of the new chapter “Rayquaza Rising” of the TV anime “Pokémon”. This is ZEROBASEONE’s first anime tie-up.

Pokemon is my favorite anime that I’ve been watching since I was little, and I’ve always wanted to be in charge of the opening theme someday, so I was really happy!
The chorus of “Only One Story” is very catchy, and I think the melody will stick with your ears once you hear it. Please pay attention to the memorable lyrics that appear at the end of the chorus, “No matter how many times you cry, you’ll be fine.”
It’s a fun song that everyone can sing and dance to, so please enjoy it along with the anime!
