B’z decides to release the theme song “Illumination” for the NHK TV drama series “Omusubi”

■“Illumination” will start distribution from October 7th!

B’z’s new song “Illumination” will be released on October 7th.

“Illumination” is the theme song for the NHK TV drama series “Omusubi,” which began airing on September 30th.

“Omusubi” is a “Heisei youth graffiti” in which the heroine, who was born in 1989, works as a nutritionist to enjoy the turbulent Heisei and Reiwa eras, and powerfully pushes forward even though she is sometimes troubled. Like the historical background of the story, B’z, a hit maker representing the music scene from the Heisei era to the present, was offered this work and wrote a new song “Illumination” for the drama.

This song will be released on major music download and streaming services from October 7th. Prior to the start of distribution, Apple Music pre-add (advance addition) / Spotify pre-save became available from September 30th.

Additionally, a non-credit version of the opening video for “Omusubi” was released on NHK’s official YouTube channel from September 30th. Enjoy the song along with the opening video.
