Nogizaka46 and JA Group have collaborated to release a new TV commercial that conveys the importance of “domestic consumption” and the appeal of domestic ingredients.
Starring Mayu Tamura (flowers), Haruka Kaki (meat), Shiori Kubo (milk), Minami Umezawa (fruit), Yuki Yoda (vegetables), Sakura Endo (rice), and Mao Goojo (tea) (* (In parentheses is each member’s “favorite ingredient”).
“Domestic production for domestic consumption” is the idea proposed by the JA Group that “the food consumed in our “country” should be “produced” in this “country” as much as possible.”
This work, which is the fourth installment following the previous work (released in October 2023), uses “motion typography”, an expression method that creates animation by moving letters, to visually convey the importance of “domestic consumption”. This is a video that makes it easier to understand.
The collaboration between Nogizaka46 and JA Group started in December 2020. Focusing on the development on the special website, we will be providing videos and videos that can be learned while having fun, with the aim of getting people interested in Japanese food and agriculture, and helping them understand the concept of “domestic consumption, domestic production” that the JA Group proposes. We are working on various projects such as quiz content.
This time, in addition to the commercial video, an animated video that explains the importance of “domestic consumption” in an easy-to-understand manner through everyday conversations between the members, set in the members’ dressing rooms, will be released at the same time.

The Nogizaka46 members call on farmers to support farmers by enjoying dishes made with domestically produced ingredients from the perspective of “domestic consumption”. By incorporating the method of “motion typography,” it is possible to visually capture the importance of “domestic consumption”.

Nogizaka46 members learn about the significance of “domestic consumption” and the reality behind it, such as the slump in the food self-sufficiency rate, the decline in farmers and farmland, and the increase in the world’s population and natural disasters. The story is set in the members’ dressing rooms and is easy to understand through fast-paced conversations between the members and easy-to-understand diagrams and illustrations that accompany them.
