It has been decided that Rira Ikuta will release the music video for her new song “Sign” on YouTube at 10pm on October 7th.
“Sign” is a number written as the theme song for the original drama series “Transparent Us” currently being distributed on ABEMA. The music video depicts another story linked to the drama work, and like the drama work, it is directed by Yusaku Matsumoto, and also stars Kikuchi Himena (Sakura role) and Ogawa Miyu (Yuri role) who appear in the work. It is a luxurious collaboration MV.
The theme song “Sign” expresses the feelings of “loneliness” and “loneliness” felt by young people today, as depicted in the drama “Invisible Us”, in a slow tempo and soothing melody. Along with Ikuta’s music, the video provides a deeper understanding of the worldview of the drama.
The fourth episode of the drama will be released at 11pm on the 7th after the MV is released. Enjoy going back and forth between the main drama and the MV linked to it.

During the production period, I couldn’t get Sakura’s lines out of my head, and I kept repeating the words she said.
How did they view life and what answers did they come up with? The path they chose, neither denying nor affirming, was an opportunity for me to reflect on myself and write lyrics.Everyone continues to endure and live their lives while being hurt in different ways in their own places. There is justice in each person, and they struggle to become someone, even though they sometimes make mistakes. I continue to search for the meaning of my existence, a point of contact with society, a sign that I am truly here, as if I am transparent, unable to find my place, unable to reach anywhere.
This time, the team led by Yusaku Matsumoto, the director of “We Are Transparent,” carefully analyzed each and every emotion that was put into the song and expressed it in the form of a video.
By having them draw on the same world line, I felt that the lyrics I had come into contact with the work were returning to their original place in different forms. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to have such a unique experience.

I recently appeared in the music video for Rira Ikuta’s new song “Sign”. When I first heard this song, it had a sad and ephemeral quality to it, but at the same time, I felt like I was being enveloped in a soft and gentle way. This is my second time collaborating with Miyu Ogawa in a music video, and I am very happy to be able to live the same world view as her.
