──Please tell us about your impressions, current feelings, and enthusiasm for becoming the ambassador for PEANUTS Comics’ 75th anniversary.
MAYA: I’ve always loved Snoopy, and I’m really happy to have been chosen as the 75th anniversary ambassador and to be able to celebrate with him. I hope we can create more excitement together with Snoopy.
──How was it to actually meet Snoopy today?
NINA: I’ve loved Snoopy since I was little, so I was very happy to finally meet him. It was a wonderful and happy time.
──Is there anything you would like to do with Snoopy for PEANUTS’ 75th anniversary?
RIKU: We, NiziU, will sing the PEANUTS 75th anniversary song, so I hope we can sing it with Snoopy someday. We will have the opportunity to introduce many of the charms of PEANUTS, so I hope you will have a fun time with Snoopy.

◎I want to buy a lot of birthday presents for RIKU-chan at Granberry Park.

──Please tell us your impressions after seeing “Minamimachida Granberry Park”.
MAKO：The design on the outside is really cute, and you can feel like you can go out with Snoopy and his friends, and I think it would be nice to take a souvenir photo when you ride. Personally, I’m a fan of Charlie Brown, so I’d love to be able to take a photo of him.
──Are there any places you would like to go to on the Minamimachida Granberry Park?
RIO:There is a river in Futakotamagawa in front of Minamimachida Granberry Park, so I would like to take a walk along the river with the members. After that, I would like to go to Minamimachida Granberry Park. RIKU-chan’s birthday is on the 26th of this month, so I want to buy lots of birthday presents at Granbury Park.
──Minamimachida Granberry Park is celebrating its 5th anniversary, have you ever come to visit? If this is your first time, please let us know your impressions.
RIMA:I haven’t been there yet, but I’ve often taken the train to Machida since I was little, so next time I have a day off, I’d like to come to Minami-Machida Granberry Park with my family. I heard that there is a Snoopy illumination in the winter, so I think it would be a great memory for members to come together.

◎9 people want to try ice skating together

──There are only a few months left in 2024, but is there anything you want to try this year or have left undone?
MAYUKA:About two years ago for Christmas, we had a party where each member cooked food for each other, and it was really fun, so I hope we can have a party again this year. I also think it would be great if everyone could go see the Christmas illuminations at Minamimachida Granberry Park that RIMA mentioned earlier.
──Do you have any resolutions for next year?
MIIHI:First of all, our first winter tour will start next month in November, so we need to finish it off without any problems, and next year will be our 5th anniversary year, and it will be a memorable year for all the members to be in their 20s, so we’ll be happy to see what we’ve done so far. I hope that we can create stages and performances that can convey our charm beyond the above.
──NiziU will be celebrating their 5th anniversary next year, so is there anything you would like to do individually or as a team?
AYAKA:I heard that Minami-Machida Granberry Park has an ice skating rink in the winter, so I thought I’d like to try ice skating there with the nine of us.

■What are peanuts?

It all began on October 2, 1950. The series began to be published in seven American newspapers. Author: Charles M. Schulz. (November 26, 1922 – February 12, 2000) Other than the five weeks of vacation he took as a present for his 75th birthday in 1997, Schulz never took a single day off until his death in December 1999, when he announced his retirement. He continued to draw comics for about 18,000 days without taking a break.

He said he did all the work by himself, from collecting materials to writing the lines, without an assistant.
