Kazuyoshi Saito’s new song “Don’t Cry Glory Moon” has been selected as the theme song for the drama “The Travel Nurse” starring Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai

It has been announced that Kazuyoshi Saito will be in charge of the theme song for the TV Asahi Thursday drama “The Travel Nurse,” which will begin airing on October 17th.

The drama “The Travel Nurse” is a sequel to the exciting medical human drama in which Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai, the “strongest crooked nurse duo,” reform the medical field by putting patients first. They are not doctors, they are not groups, but they are “nameless nurses” who fight every day in the medical field, overturning common sense and saving patients, their families, and the medical workers around them.

Although it doesn’t usually get the spotlight, it is a powerful song that sings about life and a cheering song that makes the everyday people who are struggling in their daily lives think, “Even if it’s hard, let’s live tomorrow. Let’s do our best.” I want you to create a song that combines kindness and kindness. “Don’t Cry Glory Moon,” a rock number with an impressive acoustic guitar and full of band feel, was born in response to requests from the drama production side.

The song is about projecting one’s ideal self and hopes onto the moon, which always shines stably and beautifully as a matter of course. Questions you ask yourself throughout the month – this is a number that will resonate with everyone. Life is full of hardships…It’s a powerful yet gentle song of hope that gently watches over those who are always doing their best and reminds them once again of the reason for their efforts.

Saito said, “I have often had various troubles and regrets myself, so I created this drama with the hope that those feelings would reach the listeners. This drama is about a hospital. The theme song is “Don’t Cry Glory”, which powerfully and gently embraces the story of the drama and the people of the world. The theme song was created with the idea that “I hope people can feel a little warm when they finish watching the story.”The theme song is “Don’t Cry, Glory.” “Moon” will be available for distribution on various distribution sites from October 18th.

The recording video of this song will be premiered on Kazuyoshi Saito’s official YouTube channel at 10pm on October 17th after the first broadcast of the drama. Let’s look forward to this as well as the drama airs.

Q. Please tell us how you felt when you received the request to sing the theme song for “The Travel Nurse”.
I was very happy because Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai are both my favorite actors. After hearing the story, I watched the previous drama, and it was so interesting that I watched it all in one day. I was very excited because it was the theme song for the sequel.

Q.What are the thoughts behind the song and title, and what was important to you when creating the song?
I myself often have various worries and regrets, so I created this song with the hope that those feelings would reach the listeners as well.
Actually, when I was working on this song, I went outside for a change of pace and saw the moon peeking out through the clouds directly above my head, which made an impression on me. The moon can be seen anywhere in the world, and I have always had an image of it always being there for me when I look back on various things. The theme of this drama is hospitals and illness, so I included the moon in the title because I wanted people to feel at least a little warm when they finished watching the story.

Q.What is your impression of Masaki Okada, who plays the lead role?
I first met her at the stage greeting for the movie Honokaa Boy (2009), and my first impression was that she had a pretty face. We happened to meet at the airport in New York, and we talked a little. He seems like a very nice young man. He’s so handsome that I get nervous.

Q. Please give a message to Mr. Okada.
I’m really looking forward to the drama! If you can go for a drink sometime, please go.

Q. Please tell us how you felt when you heard that Kazuyoshi Saito would be writing the theme song.
I was happy when I heard that he would be writing a new story for this drama. Mr. Saito had previously written the theme song for the movie he appeared in, “Jiku Ku Kuku” (2013, newly provided), so I felt very encouraged.

Q. Please tell us your impressions after listening to “Don’t Cry Glory Moon”.
It has a very nice melody line and is light, but the lyrics are very nice and I was moved. I had the impression that in some way he was pushing the back of Ayumu, the character I played.

Q. Please give a message to Kazuyoshi Saito.
Thank you very much for writing the theme song. If the timing is right someday, I would be happy if you could actually come to see the drama, and I would like to see you appear in the drama.

Q.Please give a message to the viewers as well.
The moon can be seen no matter where you go, but I heard that the interpretation behind this song is that the moon is always close by and watching over us. He is also close to this drama, and it matches the theme of “being close to patients at all times” that we want to depict in this drama. This song will definitely wrap up the drama at the end. Thank you for your continued support of “The Travel Nurse.”
