Jesse (SixTONES) passionately plays a young lawyer who graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law! New Monday 10th drama “Monster” begins broadcasting

■“I would like everyone to tell me what they thought after watching the first episode.” (Shuri)

The first episode of the Kantere/Fuji TV drama “Monster” starring Shuri, in which Jesse (SixTONES) plays Yoshihiro Sugiura, a young lawyer who graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, will begin airing on October 14th at 10pm. .

This work is about Ryoko Kannaba, a mysterious monster lawyer who is not bound by “common sense” and deals with her clients without emotion. She faces various problems unique to the Reiwa era, where the law has sometimes not caught up with her, and is like a game. A unique legal entertainment that takes on a legal battle.

The drama has a one-episode storyline, with different guests appearing each time. The law is just a tool in the game, just look at it from a bird’s eye view and use it to win. How does this mysterious monster lawyer perceive the various challenges that plague modern society, and how does he win the game?

Ahead of the broadcast of the first episode, a comment arrived from Shuri, who plays the main character Ryoko Kamba.

■Shuri comment
Q.Once again, please tell us about Ryoko Kamba’s character and charm.
–The impression I have now when I first read the script is a little different. As I worked with the people around me little by little to resolve the request, and as my relationships deepened, I felt that Ryoko is a person who thinks about the client more than anyone else. . Although he approaches the trial as if it were a game, I feel that his actions and words are made with the client in mind. There are moments when things are really out of the blue, but I think that’s probably because I like people.

Q.What is the most memorable scene in the first episode?
–In the second half of the story, there is a scene in which he mumbles the word “liar” in court. That scene, including the lines that followed, was fun (lol). Ryoko gradually becomes more and more foul-mouthed, so I’m enjoying that as well.

Q. Since October 14th, the first day of the program, is Sports Day, do you have a favorite sport or one that you often watch?
–I’ve always liked sports, and my family used to watch them, so I had many opportunities to watch them.I particularly liked figure skating, so I used to watch it a lot. World Athletics, World Swimming, martial arts…I enjoy everything. I’ve never been good at playing ball games myself, and I don’t usually do much other than stretch, but I think I should do some exercise.

Q.Shuri-san, do you have any relaxing ways to get through the daily shooting process?
–After all, it’s all about eating delicious food. I don’t have much time these days, but if I force myself to go, it’s nice to have a change of pace, and it’s nice to talk to the people at the stores I frequent. My favorite foods are sushi and yakiniku, but there’s nothing I don’t like.

Q.Please tell us the highlight of the first episode and your message to the viewers.
–I think you won’t want to miss the first episode until the very end. I was really shocked. I felt that it depicted a very “human” character. What Hashibe depicts does not end with the courtroom. Lately, I’ve been feeling that this drama is not just a legal drama, but a human drama. I’m not saying there’s going to be an easy-to-understand answer, but I’d like everyone to tell me what they thought after watching the first episode.
