The fourth episode of the Wednesday 10 drama “Blue Moment” (Fuji TV, every Wednesday from 10:00 p.m. to 10:54 p.m.) starring Tomohisa Yamashita will be broadcast from 10:00 p.m. on May 15th.

“Blue Moment” depicts the struggle of SDM (Special Disaster Management Headquarters) members who use their wisdom and knowledge to risk their lives on the front lines to protect human lives threatened by severe weather disasters. .Tomohisa Yamashita plays the main character Kankuro Haruhara, who is the chief/weather researcher of SDM.

■Episode 4 synopsis
Akira Sonobe (Tsubasa Honda) is the late fiancée of Kankuro Haruhara (Tomohisa Yamashita), the head of the SDM meteorological team, and a researcher at the Meteorological Research Institute who invented SDM. Five years ago, an article appeared in a weekly magazine about how many lives were lost due to her evacuation order during the heavy rains in the southern Kanto region.
Haruhara and his friends begin SDM’s own disaster prevention activities in order to spread the significance of SDM’s existence to the world.

SDM members head to an area that was hit by a typhoon six months ago to provide disaster prevention education to children. However, this is Aya Kumota’s (Natsuki Deguchi) hometown, and Aya’s older sister, Maki Kumota (Anna Ishii), appears as a person in charge of the civic life section of the city hall. She and Aya were affected by a whirlwind three years ago, and after that she was confined to a wheelchair, but Aya had an awkward relationship with her sister because she was the only one who survived.

Among the children is Mika Sakoda, a 10-year-old girl who lost her grandfather in a typhoon six months ago, and her childhood friend Kohei Negishi, who cares about her.

Aya wants to do something for Mika, so she fixes the stuffed toy that Mika was holding, with the buttons hanging loose. However, due to her actions, Mika experiences a flashback of the situation at the time of the disaster and begins to hyperventilate. Aya, who is feeling idle, consults Haruhara about her feelings, which she doesn’t know what to do with.

Meanwhile, Haruhara’s analysis reveals that the area is in danger due to the effects of a typhoon. They requested that an evacuation order be issued as soon as possible, and with the cooperation of local television stations, SDM decided to broadcast the warning.

“The most effective way is to let someone who has experienced the disaster inform you of the crisis.”
