Cinder is a novelist and essayist born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1973. In 2017, he made his novel debut with “We Couldn’t Become Adults.” Her books include “This is Just a Summer” and “Days of Love and Forgetfulness.”

“Night Never Dawn” is a collaborative project between “BRUTUS.jp” and “BEFORE DAWN” on J-WAVE (81.3FM), of which Kakashi serves as the navigator, and is a book based on the texts that have been serially read aloud for about half a year. , a collection of 30 stories and small essays filled with “absolute peace of mind.”

LEO: Not only the essays, but even just a few lines from the diary part, I was able to get into Hibashi-san’s worldview all at once, and it was the kind of book that made me think once again, “I really love what Hibaku-san writes!”
As if I was going home for the first time in a while and eating my mother’s cooking, I read Mr. Ember’s book and said to myself, “Ah, this is it.”
Q. There are about 30 stories, but which one is your favorite? Also, I would appreciate it if you could tell me the reason.
LEO: There are so many chapters that I like, but if I say them here, I feel like it’s going to put a filter on someone else’s enjoyment and I think it’s a waste, so I’d like to talk about it again after you’ve finished reading it. is!!
Mr. Cinder’s writings are full of wonderful stories that vividly remind me of the emotions and scenes I left behind that day, and feel like a gentle hand on my shoulder rather than a push on my back.

LEO：It’s difficult, there are so many…but I guess you’ll start to feel nostalgic about everything eventually!
I love how the words of Mr. Cinder easily blend into the lives of everyone who receives them, and how they change shape and spread into the hearts of everyone who receives them.
Q.What do you like about Mr. Cinder’s writing?
LEO:I love how it makes me feel like I can peer into the world next to me, and wonder if I would have had a day like this if I had made a different choice that day!
