R-rated and DJ Matsunaga appear countless times in sync with the beat! Creepy Nuts releases chaotic MV for new song “Otonoke”

■“Otonoke”, which was newly written as the opening theme for the TV anime “Dandadan”, is a worldwide hit following “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born”!

The music video for Creepy Nuts’ latest song “Otonoke”, which was released on October 4th, was premiered at 24:00 on October 17th.

Within two weeks of its release, the song had been played over 20 million times worldwide and reached number 4 on the US iTunes hip-hop chart. On October 17th, Billboard JAPAN released the world hit Japanese song chart “Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan” and debuted at number 1, surpassing the initial performance of his own “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born”. “Otonoke” has become a worldwide hit, winning the following (collection period: October 4, 2024 to October 10, 2024).

This music video, created by Masaki Watanabe, a video creator active both domestically and internationally, uses innovative visual techniques to express the dark atmosphere of the song. The work is characterized by a chaotic worldview, such as the Creepy Nuts appearing countless times in sync with the beat, and the visual expression called phenakistoscope, which was made possible by 3D scanning the whole body.

“Otonoke”, which was written as the opening theme for the TV anime “Danda Dan”, depicts the relationship between music creators and listeners, saying that when a ghost or spirit possesses a person, they “resonate and connect with pain and sadness.” A song that reflects the worldview of “Danda Dan” and expresses the sense of fulfillment that music fills the hole in your heart.

While incorporating the driving beat of “Jersey club” that was also used in “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” DJ Matsunaga’s melodic and emotional hook is impressive, and the R-rated transformation is set on a track by DJ Matsunaga. With free rap and mellow vocals, it’s an upper tune that literally haunts your ears and won’t let you go.
