Wednesday Campanella’s new song “Moved Point P” has been selected as the theme song for episode 7 of the drama “Oshi no Ko”, which will be exclusively distributed worldwide on Prime Video from 9pm on November 28th.

“[Oshi no Ko]” was serialized in “Weekly Young Jump” in 2020 by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, and has a fantastic setting where the child is reincarnated as the child of the legendary idol Ai, as well as shocking depictions. The suspense elements and the uniquely innovative story, which cuts into the complex world of entertainment without hesitation, shocked the audience and became a hot topic among a wide range of generations.

The comic has sold a total of 18 million copies (as of July 2024), and the second season of the anime, which recently concluded its final episode, has received a great response and continues to gain momentum.

Meanwhile, the live-action film project has finally begun in earnest, bringing together the latest and most exciting cast members, including the lead actors Umion Sakurai, Asuka Saito, Nagisa Saito, Nanoka Hara, Mizuki Kayashima, and Ryo Narita. In addition, veteran players such as Kotaro Yoshida, Kana Kurashina, Nobuaki Kaneko, and Jun Kaname will solidify his side.

The currently released preview videos and character PVs are showing high expectations due to the high quality of the videos.

The theme song for all 8 episodes of this work is different for each episode, and Wednesday Campanella’s “Moved Point P” has been decided to be the theme song for the 7th episode. This song was written by Hidefumi Kenmochi for the drama, and was created by comparing Aqua and Akane’s circumstances and feelings to the “moving points P and Q” that appear in math problems. The song conveys the message that it’s okay to live freely without being bound by your past or role.

Release information will be announced later.

■Wednesday Campanella Comments
I am very happy to have been able to be involved in this wonderful work. The new song I wrote this time compares Aqua and Akane’s circumstances and feelings to the “moving points P and Q” that appear in math problems. I tried to convey the message that it’s okay to live freely without being bound by your past or roles. I would be happy if you could enjoy it along with the drama “Oshi no Ko”.
