A new commercial for additive-free lip “Baby Vaseline Lip” starring Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) and Aoya Igari (HiHi Jets) will be aired nationwide from November 2nd.

The commercial starts with a scene in which the two perform a synchronized dance to the catchy phrases “Baby Vaseline” and “Baby Vaseline.” The two appear to be friendly and perform a sharp dance, but they are competing for the timing of the lip pose in the center. Although there were some playful moments, in the end, the two of them all said the decisive line, “Baby Vaseline Lips,” and did a lip pose where they traced their lips. The commercial gives a glimpse of the two’s close friendship and true expressions.

On set, not only do they check out each other’s dances and facial expressions, but there are also scenes where they talk about anime and manga with the staff. Looking back on the filming, Igari said, “We talked about things during filming that we would talk about in private (lol).” In addition, Sakuma acted as a mood maker, cheering up the scene by shouting “Ka~~t!” and posing with the on-site director.

■Sakuma has been using the “Baby Vaseline” series for over 10 years! What are your favorite points?
Sakuma, whose skin is sensitive and prone to dryness, seems to have been trying to use products that are gentle on her skin ever since she was a child. “Since it said ‘baby,’ I thought babies could use it too, so I started using it. Igari also said that he kept praising Sakuma’s dancing during filming. In reference to the breathtaking dance in the commercial, when asked what he tries to keep in mind when dancing, Sakuma answered, “The most important thing is to enjoy myself when I’m dancing.If I don’t enjoy myself, I can’t entertain the people watching.” When I’m dancing, I dance with the mindset that I’m the best dancer and I’m having the most fun.” “The key to getting better at dancing is definitely to enjoy dancing! ■Igari’s habit that hasn’t changed since childhood is reading! Sakuma is also surprised by Igari’s unexpected side.

Igari, who says that there are times when he can’t sleep unless he reads a book, reveals a surprising side of himself: “The night before the shooting, I was so nervous that I couldn’t sleep at all, so I read a difficult book because I thought it was going to be dangerous.” She also said, “I write down Japanese words that I think are beautiful on my smartphone, and look back at them when I have free time, and I enjoy it to myself.” Sakuma expressed surprise, saying, “The gap is huge.”
