Kazunari Ninomiya rides smoothly in LUUP's new TV commercial! "There's a possibility we might run into each other."

■LUUP’s first TV commercial will start airing nationwide from November 1st!

Kazunari Ninomiya has been chosen as the commercial character for Luup. The company’s first TV commercials, “Appearance” and “Ride” (15 seconds), will be aired from November 1st.

A CM campaign site will be released in conjunction with the airing of the CM. Additionally, signboards with Ninomiya graphics have been installed at some of LUUP’s ports in Tokyo and Osaka. In addition to multiple campaigns, Ninomiya’s special video will be shown on the LUUP app after the ride ends.

This time, we will release the “Appearance” version where Ninomiya appears dashingly on a LUUP in the city, and the “Ride” version where a female customer having tea at a cafe accidentally encounters Ninomiya on a LUUP. Along with the line, “It’s normal, isn’t it?”, it is a realistic production that captures the ordinary daily life of Ninomiya, who is actually a “LUUP user”.

In the making-of interview, he talked about things like, “I get surprised when I ride LUUP,” and since I ride LUUP on a regular basis, “There’s a possibility that I might run into someone.” “Um, Nino?” In addition to talking about things like “I’m thinking about it,” he also talks about how he uses LUUP in his private life and its charms, such as the fun of riding on unknown roads using LUUP’s recommended routes. Q. Please tell us your impressions of appearing in LUUP’s first commercial.
This time I was filming outside, and while I was filming the commercial, I saw LUUPs running around here and there, so I was wondering what kind of commercial this was. It was a strange experience (too much as usual). There were times when I was running around so much that I thought he was already widely recognized, and I wondered if he was an extra or not. After all, I got the impression that it was already familiar to the city.
Q. How did you feel after actually riding LUUP?
I was already used to life, or rather, it was a normal option in my life, so I felt normal. Since it was a commercial, I didn’t have to be taught anything in particular, and the only form I had was to get on it, run around, and smile when I saw it, so I guess it ended up being quite natural.
Q. How comfortable is the ride on LUUP?
The riding comfort of LUUP is very safe, and I have a strong impression that electric scooters are used by people my age or slightly older than me, for commuting. It’s a really easy to ride and easy to understand vehicle, which really left an impression on me as I rode it.
Q. What are the recommended features of LUUP?
They sometimes choose paths that I wouldn’t have chosen. It’s not like it’s going to go that fast, so I’m thinking, “Oh, this is what this city is like” with safety in mind. When you choose the other side or a different route, it takes you to places you wouldn’t have walked on your own, saying, “This is what it was like here,” so even when you’re commuting to work, you can feel like you’re on a journey. It’s refreshing, isn’t it?
Q. In what situations do you usually use LUUP?
I don’t really feel like going out anymore, or rather, when I feel like going out for a while, I used to say I’d rather put up with it when I was leaving the car, but now with LUUP, I’m like, “Let’s go shopping.” It gives me an opportunity to think about things, so I don’t feel so stressed about going out. The stress of waiting while hailing a taxi, or not being able to get a taxi, is almost gone. So I think that’s the biggest thing. I think it’s good that the stress is gone.
Q. Are there any stories in which your daily life has become more comfortable after using LUUP?
Being able to shift schedules was hugely important. That’s why my friends were surprised, like, “Huh?” and “Huh? That’s really fast.” You were doing something like a commercial. The fact that I can follow my schedule with LUUP is probably the biggest thing I’ve used.
Q. Do your friends and people around you know that you ride LUUP?
When I tell them that I ride one, they’re surprised and say something like, “Are you riding a LUUP?” I’m definitely surprised when I say this, but I think I’ll be able to ride it with confidence once this commercial airs, so it’s going to be pretty fun.
Q. What kind of generation do you have the impression that LUUP is ridden by people?
A lot of young people ride it, but there are also a lot of people from my generation and others who are a little older. When I look at the people who are using it, I get the feeling that they are using their time extremely well, and I feel like “I’m going to do it!”
Q. Is it possible to run into Mr. Ninomiya riding LUUP in town?
It’s possible that you might come across it. It’s already possible. I’m sure you’ll be surprised when you ride LUUP. “Uh, Nino?” I said. Looks like he’ll be gone before I can say that. I think it will increase more in the future.
Q. What advice would you give to those who have never ridden LUUP?
For those who haven’t ridden one yet, it’s really easy to set up, so don’t think too hard about it. I also feel that the prices are very cheap, so if you are in trouble, you can always find a port if you go nearby, and if you just install the app and register, it is one of the options when you are really in trouble. It becomes. If you just install the app as a souvenir of watching this interview, I’m sure it will help you when you’re in trouble.
Q. Is there anything else that you find LUUP useful for?
Well, I think one of the advantages of LUUP is that you don’t have to think about going back and forth, and considering that you’re using your own bicycle or car, you have to think about going back and forth. When you think about that, you have to go to a fixed place, but I feel that the biggest advantage of LUUP is that you can just go there or just go back. So that’s how I use it. I feel like if I had used LUUP earlier, I would have been able to come back from various sites, and since I often go to work, I don’t feel like I’m wasting much time, which makes me feel great. That’s nice.
Q. What do you think about LUUP’s mission: “Create infrastructure that transforms the city into a train station”?
I think they have great spirit. After all, I think that LUUP is able to see the superior ideas, convenience, and future that the users have in mind, and I honestly want to agree with it. After all, I don’t think there was a sense of value that a property 15 minutes from the station would be exactly the same as a property that would take 7 to 8 minutes with LUUP, which would reduce the walking distance by half. It’s just a part of the world, but I think it will eventually become a part of culture. It’s really exciting to think that this will happen in the form of trains, planes, buses, and LUUP.
Q. Since LUUP has a commercial that conveys the message of “this is normal”, do you ever think “this is normal” in your private life?
I spend a lot of time working, which is something that has become commonplace these days, but lately I’ve been spending more time in my private life creating works of art. Up until now, the main thing was to create a work, have a script, and turn it into a story, but now I start writing the script and planning, so that’s something I didn’t do until 11 years ago. Ta. I think one of the things that has become normal these days is that I’ve finally stopped being so busy and am now able to create my work properly and with some leeway.
Q. What do you want to take for granted from now on?
I tend to forget things a lot, and sometimes I forget my purpose before I accomplish it. I’ve been forgetting things quickly lately. Lately, I’ve been muttering about what I’m going to do as I head to my destination. I want to make it normal to stop doing that. I don’t know how to stop, but I want to stop mumbling. I also want to do something about forgetting things. It’s a challenge.
Q. Please give a message to those who use LUUP.
I can ride it quite easily. I think we’re entering a phase where we start coexisting with society, so I think it would be great if people would respect all the manners you can think of, including how to park your car, once again (traffic rules).
