On October 26th, Gambareruya made a surprise appearance as a comedy duo in the TV Asahi drama “Why We Love You” starring Fuma Kikuchi (every Saturday from 11pm).

Kikuchi and Gambareruya have been co-starring on variety shows since 2020 and have gotten to know each other, but this is the first time they have met face-to-face on a drama set. In addition, this will be Gambareruya’s first appearance in a drama series in five years since “Motokare Mania” (2019/Fuji TV).

Mahiru and Yoshiko played the roles of employees of the planning and development department. Kurosawa (Fuma Kikuchi) realizes that he is in love with Aoi (Rinka Kumada), and sends her off on a business trip alone with Mizuki Itami (Kazuto Mokuyo), a new employee, with mixed feelings. .

Q: Please tell us your impressions of co-starring with Fuma Kikuchi in a drama.
Mahiru:This is my second time appearing in a drama, so I was really nervous, but when I arrived on set, Fuma-kun was there, and he teased me a lot, just like when I meet him on a variety show, so it was just like usual. I was able to relax and enjoy myself. I almost forgot about Fuma-kun because I only see him on variety shows, but I thought to myself, “This guy is an actor.” I saw a side of him that I don’t usually get to see, and I thought it was kind of cool.
Yoshiko:He certainly looked like an actor. He always works like a talent or comedian… It was the first time I saw him in a suit, but he looked cool and unusual! Because I’m usually done naked all the time (lol).
Q: You played the role of a member of the planning and development department who works at the same company. How was it playing the role?
Yoshiko:The script seemed like it was written for us, and the exchanges were just like the ones we would say to Fuma-kun, so we were able to slip right into the world without having to prepare for the role. Seed.

Yoshiko:I was so happy! We will be filming overseas right after this shoot, but if Fuma chooses us, we have no choice but to go!

Yoshiko:Thank you for always following me when I’m slipping up! He’s a really nice guy, he’s quick-witted, and he’s always thinking to entertain those around him.
