The annual year-end project “The Covers’ Fes.” brought to you by the NHK music program “The Covers” will be held again this year.
This 11th edition will be held in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which continues to produce many musicians and famous songs. Luxurious guests will present performances of famous songs that can only be seen here, with a live feel, as part of the “Winter Rock Festival” from Hiroshima Prefecture.
MCs are Lily Franky and Moka Kamishiraishi. The lineup of guests includes artists with deep connections to Hiroshima and Fukuyama, commemorative artists who are attracting attention, and guests who symbolize Covers. The broadcast is scheduled for the end of the year. As soon as the broadcast date and time is decided, it will be announced on the program website.
■Call for viewers & announcement of performing artists!
A gorgeous lineup of artists, including artists connected to Hiroshima and Fukuyama, musicians unique to Covers Fest, and guests from Memorial Year, will deliver “famous songs associated with Hiroshima and winter” to rock music.
Kiminori Sera is a legendary rock star from Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. CHEMISTRY, whose member Dochin is from Hiroshima and sings famous songs with beautiful harmonies, is celebrating their 40th anniversary since their debut this year, and is enjoying a global revival in the midst of the city pop boom. Takao Tajima of Original Love, who is attracting attention from generation Z, and Memi Tamura, who is attracting attention for her appearance in the morning drama “Omusubi” (as Risa Yuzuki), and Japan, who has released a series of hit songs that symbolize the 2000s and Heisei era. LOVE PSYCHEDELICO, who created a new rock style, is here. Collaborations and covers of famous songs that can only be seen here will be performed.
