From Mone Kamishiraishi’s album “kibi” to be released on November 6th, the song “Madashii” provided by Yoshiki Mizuno (Ikimonogakari/HIROBA) has been distributed in advance.
This is Mizuno’s second collaboration with Kamishiraishi since he provided the song “Yoake wo Kuchizusametara”, which he sang when he first participated in “NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen”, and he also collaborated with Mizuno on the aforementioned “Yoake wo Kuchizusametara”. It was created based on Kamishiraishi’s request for a song that would resonate with them.
This work is a reversal of the “hope seen in solitude” that was expressed in the previous work, and by daring to find “the shadow lurking in the dazzling moments of everyday life,” and singing it, we live with two sides of the same coin. The power of this song is expressed as a pop song.
In addition, the music video for “Madashi” will be released in conjunction with the advance distribution. This music video, shot in a space that is also linked to the CD artwork, features Kamishiraishi looking at the “dazzling” lives of ordinary people, working hard and living their ordinary days, and depicting the uniqueness of pop music. The result is a piece of work that encapsulates a sudden feeling of loneliness with fun and positivity.
Kamishiraishi is also scheduled to hold a nationwide tour titled “yattokosa” Tour 2024-25《kibi》, which bears the name of the album. Every year, Kamishiraishi visits various places all over the world, and eventually tours all prefectures. We are currently going on a tour with the desire to meet you, and this time we are planning a total of 11 performances in 10 locations, the largest ever, including the 7 prefectures that we will be visiting for the first time: Aomori, Saga, Mie, Kyoto, Fukui, Kagawa, and Hiroshima.
