JO1’s Takumi Kawanishi, Junki Kono, Naomi Watanabe, Yumena Yanai, and others appeared at the “HELLO KITTY 50th Anniversary Party,” a one-night-only event held at the Horyuji Treasure Museum on October 30th.

A 50th anniversary cake was featured at the party to celebrate Hello Kitty. There was also a special show featuring Hello Kitty in Kabuki costume, which was her first appearance outside of Puroland.

Watanabe enthusiastically expressed his passionate love for Hello Kitty, saying, “Kitty-chan is my muse! There are so many Hello Kitty goods in New York, but I don’t have enough money!”

JO1 Kawanishi and Kono talked about their dream with Hello Kitty, saying, “I want to collaborate with Hello Kitty someday.”

When asked about her memories of Hello Kitty, Yanai said, “When I first met Hello Kitty at Puroland when I was in middle school, I was so happy that I burst into tears.I love Hello Kitty even more now than I did then! ” he commented.
