Congratulations on the anime adaptation of “Medalist”! And I’m really happy to be able to be involved in such a wonderful work as the ending theme.
Sleep. This is the first anime for which I have been in charge of a song, so I think it will be one of the most memorable songs in our lives as artists.
The appeal of this song is its powerful yet exciting sound, uplifting melody, and lyrics with a strong message for those who are aiming for their dreams. I hope that this song will reach Medalist fans around the world.

■Figure skating choreography: Akiko Suzuki

The moment I picked up Medalist for the first time, my heart pounded as I turned each page, and I was moved by the depth of the sport of figure skating, which brought tears to my eyes. The realistic depiction made me feel as if I was actually on the rink. It is a great honor for me to be in charge of the choreography for this wonderful work to be made into an anime. Using motion capture, we visualized various skaters while actually skating. I worked on each choreography with all my heart, thinking, “What kind of expression would this skater have and what kind of thoughts would he have while skating?” I sincerely hope that through this anime, more people will be able to experience the charm of figure skating and have an experience that resonates deeply in their hearts.

I helped with the motion capture of the programs and jumps of the various athletes that appear in the story, and it was a lot of fun to be able to dance to a song for the first time in a while! It’s a wonderful work that directly conveys Inori’s honest feelings about skating and draws you into the world of Medalist, so I hope many people see it!

This time, I was involved in filming jumps and spins using motion capture.
I am very honored to have been able to be involved in the animation of a wonderful work called “Medalist.”
I can relate to Inori’s feelings about figure skating and the rink in Nagoya where she has practiced since she was a child. I was really looking forward to seeing the delicate movements of figure skating in the anime.
I would be happy if many people could become interested in my favorite sport of figure skating through the work “Medalist.”
