Chokyu Mei Rei and meiyo team up for the first time! “Ayataka Cafe” original song “Sore Sore Shite.” MV released

A new music video for Ayataka Cafe’s original song “Sore Sore Toshite” has been released on Coca-Cola’s official YouTube channel.

“Sore Sore Toshite” is a song that incorporates micro-stress collected from the general public as the second part of new communication to support Gen Z after Coca-Cola System fully renovated “Ayataka Cafe” in April. This is the full version of the song used in the new web commercial released on April 16th, written by the first collaboration between Reiwa pop maestro meiyo, who has produced many buzz songs, and Rei (Vo) of Chokyumei.

To create this song, they asked the general public to share their experiences of micro-stress in their daily lives, and these were used as part of the lyrics. The lyrics summarize everyday micro-stresses that people can easily relate to, such as “my bangs got messed up by the wind,” “I didn’t notice the tissues in my pocket and did the laundry,” and “I made a mistake and my clothes were too tight,” and the song puts me in a good mood with the liberating melody created by Meiyo, who expresses the taste of matcha latte through sound and lyrics, and Uruha’s clear singing voice.

The music video was illustrated by Mizoguchi Tomoya, who is rapidly gaining popularity among Gen Z. Along with the cute animation, pay attention to the catchy phrase “Arya ya konnatta owattta” (It’s too much).

■ Included episodes
This was the first time the two teamed up to record a song. Meiyo brought her own Ayataka Cafe and entered the studio with a smile. Uruha stretched in a relaxed manner in preparation for the recording. After the recording began, Meiyo was in a good mood as she danced to the rhythm of Uruha’s singing, smiling from start to finish.

In order to deliver the key message of “Ayataka Cafe,” “That being said, matcha latte is delicious,” Meiyo and Uruha paid particular attention to the details of their vocal volume, the clarity of their voice, and the brightness of their facial expressions during recording. The lyrics submitted by the general public were tried many times. You could feel the passion they put into the song. The recording proceeded in a friendly atmosphere on set, with the crowd excited by Uruha’s playful and cute voice.

“Sore Sore Shitemo.” will be available on various music streaming services in early June.

■Chow Q Mei Li and meiyo interview
Q. In the song, the phrase “Oh, my, it’s a problem! I’m sorry!” is memorable, but I think there are times in your daily life when you feel like that. Has anything happened recently that made you feel like that?
Meiyo: I’m a terrible rain man. Whenever there’s a live show or a recording, it’s almost always raining, and today (at the time of recording) it’s raining too (laughs).
Uruha: That’s true, it was raining the last time we got together too!
Meiyo: That’s right. It always attracts rain clouds.
Uruha: On the other hand, I’m a sunny girl, but today I lost (laughs). For me, it’s more like sadness than trouble, but it was when I gave a birthday present to a close friend and he didn’t give it back. It’s fine, but it was a micro-stress.
meiyo: There weren’t any congratulatory messages either?
Uruha: Yes, nothing happened! But I told another friend about it and it became a funny story, so I’ve already forgotten about it (laugh).

Q. What do you like about matcha latte? When do you like to drink it?
Meiyo: Among the various types of tea, I think “matcha” is the perfect choice. When I want to drink it, I really crave sugar when I’m thinking about lyrics or songs, so I try to drink it at those times! It’s not too sweet and easy to drink.
Uruha: When you want something sweet but don’t want to gobble it down, matcha latte is easy to drink and addictive. It’s not too heavy, but not too refreshing either, so it’s just right for when you want something sweet.

Q. Finally, please say a few words to everyone watching the MV!
Meiyo: There’s a lot of micro-stress in our daily lives. I think we get stressed by things so small that we don’t even realize it. That’s why I’d be happy if you could drink “Ayataka Cafe” when this song comes on and realize that you might be under stress that you don’t even realize you have.
Uruha: In this MV, a fluffy, pop character appears, with a cute sound and a cute voice, so it’s a cute combo, so I hope that by watching the MV and listening to the song, you can forget about your everyday frustrations, even just for a little while!
