Chotonkyuu “AwA AwA” becomes the first 9-member group to reach number 1 on Oricon weekly singles! Received comments of joy from members

Chotonkyuu’s 21st single “AwA AwA” (pronounced: Awa Awa) released on November 6th became the first nine-member group to rank No. 1 on the “Oricon Weekly Single Ranking” dated November 18th. did.

This is their second single to reach No. 1 after 7 years and 6 months since “Cho Nebagiba DANCE” released on May 8, 2017.

“AwA AwA” is a song that compares life to a game and conveys the positive message unique to Chotonkyukyu: Let’s overcome the impossible game called life that everyone is trying to play together.

We received comments from all the members expressing their joy at reaching number 1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking, which is the first time under the new system.
