■”This year is a year of change. The Keisei Skyliner commercial will walk along a new path with me.” (Kento Nakajima)
Kento Nakajima will serve as the image character for the new Keisei Skyliner TV commercial from 2019, titled “Dreams lie ahead of you.” ” version (15 seconds, 30 seconds). The commercial will be broadcast nationwide from November 13th.
This TV commercial, based on the concept of “A new dream has begun from the moment you step on board the Keisei Skyliner,” features a documentary-style video that captures the single-minded expression of Kento Nakajima as he begins to run towards a new stage as an artist. It consists of Nakajima, who appears as a symbol of Keisei Skyliner passengers, does not play a role, but shows off his real self, devoting himself wholeheartedly to new creations such as creating music and dancing. He also said that the settings that synchronize with his own background and the immersive visuals “have something that I really empathize with,” and he also provides the narration that puts his thoughts into it.
Please pay attention to Nakajima’s passionate non-acting performance as he seals away the character Prince Keisei, who has gained popularity since his first appearance in 2019, and runs towards his dream with the Keisei Skyliner.
■Highlights of the new TV commercial
The new TV commercial tells the story of Nakajima, who will take on new challenges and expand his career starting in 2024, as he embarks on a journey on the Keisei Skyliner, carrying his dreams on board. In the previous work, Nakajima played the role of “Prince Keisei” who entertains passengers, but in this work he plays himself so that he can be seen as a symbol of the “Keisei Skyliner that runs with many dreams on board.”
In order to pursue reality, Nakajima avoids “acting anything” as much as possible, and in addition to his facial expressions gazing out at the scenery passing by from the window of the Keisei Skyliner, how he works on music in the studio, and how he works hard at dance lessons, Nakajima can be seen. We filmed closely and captured their dedicated activities in a documentary-style video.
The beautiful figure of Nakajima, who continues to run towards her dreams despite her worries, the uplifting music that praises her thoughts, and the emotional narration that is in sync with her own background, create a sense of unity that touches the hearts of viewers. It has a finish that makes it move.
■Photography episode
◇Nakajima was also excited about the photo shoot that took place inside the Keisei Skyliner.
The scene in which Nakajima was riding the Keisei Skyliner was filmed on a train that was in regular service between Keisei Ueno Station and Narita Airport Station. Nakajima, who uses the Keisei Skyliner even for private trips, went into a meeting with the director with a slightly high level of excitement, surrounded by the gentle and pleasant vibrations and sound of the car, and said, “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a new commercial (commercial) in two years. Is it the first time? It’s nice to say, “Skyliner that runs with dreams,” he said with a smile.
◇Nakajima in a relaxed mode for the “no acting” shoot. During the performance, I hummed the song and said, “Wow! (laughs)”
Nakajima sat down in seat 5A of the lead car, and the race began in a calm atmosphere. The camera that had been on standby earlier began taking a long take, but since Nakajima had no set acting or dialogue, he looked as if he was truly enjoying the journey as he gazed out at the passing scenery out of the train window. . When the scenery outside the window changed from the city to the countryside, Nakajima seemed to have reached the peak of his relaxation level, and there was a scene where he was quietly humming a song. After a while, when the director gave the signal to cut, Nakajima regained his senses and smiled shyly, saying, “That’s crazy! I was just humming it!” (lol).
◇ Shows off the “S” pose with both hands and praises the speed of the Keisei Skyliner
As the scenery outside the window changed, Nakajima sensed that the ride scene was coming to an end, thinking, “Huh? Are we almost there?” “It’s so fast…As expected of the Keisei Skyliner!”, as the train traveled at 160km/h, the fastest speed on a conventional line. Experience the high level of convenience that connects the city center and Narita Airport in as little as 36 minutes. Although it took only a short time, Nakajima completed the ride scene smoothly with his “passionate performance”.He struck a pose by making the “S” symbol for “SKYLINER” with both hands, and stepped off onto the station platform with light steps. , headed to the next filming location.
◇The dance scene and recording scene also show off their real “realness”. Is the narration “sexy”?
In the dance lesson scenes and recording scenes that were filmed in the studio, Nakajima appeared to be working on her creations with a serious expression on her face. During the recording of the narration, he delivered a heartfelt narration, which drew applause from those around him, exclaiming, “That’s so cool!” Nakajima joked, “Huh? Where did all the ‘sexy’ stuff go? (lol),” but he seemed to be getting a good feel for it. When Nakajima was told that he was 0.32 seconds over the 30 seconds he could have completed, he thought, “I don’t want to break the perfect ‘pause’…” but he successfully cleared it on his second attempt.

■Kento Nakajima interview
Q. Please tell us your impressions after finishing filming the new TV commercial, which is very different from the previous ones.
When you think of the Keisei Skyliner CM series, you probably have a strong impression of “Keisei Prince”, but this time there were many scenes that linked to my everyday appearance, which was very refreshing. I think we had a really fulfilling time as we traveled to various locations to take photos and had many costume changes, and I hope people will pay attention to my various appearances. This year was a year of change for me, so I felt like the Keisei Skyliner commercial was walking down a new path with me.Q. Five years have passed since your first appearance in 2019, and you are now in your sixth year. Please tell us how you feel now.
I’ve been working on it for 6 years now…Wow, that’s amazing (lol). That’s impressive, isn’t it? There are a lot of people who come from overseas or who are traveling from Japan to other countries, and they always see the Keisei Skyliner poster at Narita Airport, and we receive calls from them each time. I feel like I’m witnessing the moment when everyone’s dreams come true, and as we enter our 6th year, I’m filled with the feeling that I want to continue doing my best.Q.The new TV commercial is a documentary-style story that shows the behind-the-scenes aspects of Nakajima-san’s entertainment activities, but if you could add one more scene, what kind of behind-the-scenes aspects would you like to add?
The same goes for the dance scenes this time, and the songwriting and songwriting scenes were shot with a sense of excitement that was close to my “real” self, and I felt that my “true” self was captured exactly as it was. That’s why I think when you reach a phase where your true self comes out, it’s at moments like interacting with friends from overseas or having dinner together.Q. The message of the new TV commercial is “Dreams lie ahead of you.” Please tell us about your current dreams, Mr. Nakajima.
There are more opportunities for people overseas to listen to our music, such as anime tie-ups, so I would like to perform at festivals overseas. My next goal is to take advantage of the characteristics of J-Pop and participate in various ways as a Japanese artist.Q.If you were to travel on the Keisei Skyliner, where would you like to go?
It’s Paris. The last time I remember going to Paris was when I was really young…and I felt really bad. The picture my parents took when they took me to the Louvre was of me lying in front of the Winged Victory of Samothrace. It’s even less finished than Nike (lol). I wasn’t my perfect self at all, so next time I go, I’d like to be in good spirits and take a photo in front of the statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace.Q. Please give a message to the viewers who will watch the new TV commercial.
A wonderful commercial for Keisei Skyliner has been completed. “I have a dream before I run. ‘, it was Kento Nakajima.
