NHK General “Utacon” will be broadcast on NHK General from 19:57 on November 19th.

This time’s theme is “Songs that connect hearts to loved ones.” We deliver a number of famous songs that express our feelings for our loved ones, to family, friends, and those we no longer see.

Mone Kamishiraishi will perform a cover of Momoe Yamaguchi’s famous song “Akizakura,” in which a married daughter thinks of her mother, and Kohei Matsushita will cover Noriyuki Makihara’s “Far Far,” which depicts her feelings for friends from her distant hometown.

Yukari Ito and Mie Nakao performed a spark three-daughter medley in memory of Mari Sono, who passed away this year. In addition to nostalgic hit songs, they will also perform Mari Sono’s signature song “Aitakutete Aitakute”.

Also, Kei Ogura, who will be appearing for the first time in two years, will sing two of her signature songs, “Aisansan” and “Saraba Seishun.” Ichiro Toba will perform with his second son, enka singer Tetsuji Kimura, on his hit song “Keiyofune.” Kaori Mizumori will perform a song that was written by Tetsuya Takeda and was supposed to be sung by Aki Yashiro along with the episode.
