Sho Sakurai appears in a TV commercial for “BAKUNE” fatigue recovery pajamas that he also loves.

■”I’m embarrassed because this is my home style (lol). Even the colors are the same (lol)” (Sakurai Sho)

TENTIAL’s new TV commercial “Pajama to BAKUNE” (15 seconds, 30 seconds) featuring Sho Sakurai as the image character will be broadcast nationwide (excluding some regions) from November 18th.

The new TV commercial “Pajamas and BAKUNE” is based on the theme of “conditioning to relieve daily fatigue” and is a story in which Sakurai actually uses “BAKUNE” to convey the importance of conditioning in a busy life.

Sakurai passionately plays the role of “two selves” in two roles. “Sakurai, who sleeps in regular pajamas without knowing the existence of BAKUNE,” can comfortably recover from fatigue by learning about the appeal of BAKUNE from the other person, “Sakurai, who regularly uses BAKUNE and pays close attention to her conditioning.” Get joy.

■Sho Sakurai shares stories unique to BAKUNE users
Sakurai, who appeared on the set in pajamas and was introduced as “TENTIAL’s first image character,” greeted with a slightly embarrassed smile and said, “Thank you.” In the new TV commercial, one person takes on the challenge of playing two roles. Sakurai, who regularly wears BAKUNE, shared an anecdote about BAKUNE, saying, “I gave BAKUNE to my co-star for her birthday because it was comfortable to wear.”

■Challenge yourself to play two roles, talking to yourself. There were scenes where he volunteered to reshoot to improve the quality of the film.
During a meeting with the director, Sakurai was asked to “play the roles of the two Sakurai-san naturally.” After checking the materials with an excited expression on my face, I headed to the art set where two beds were lined up symmetrically. The first scene was performed directly without any rehearsal, and Sakurai did a great job portraying herself as “awake and tired,” but she volunteered to “please let me do it again,” in pursuit of her best performance.

■Changes into BAKUNE and appears in the studio again. “It’s embarrassing because it’s my home style (lol)”
The photo shoot for “Sakurai wearing BAKUNE” finally began, and Sakurai reappeared in a navy-colored BAKUNE. Although it was a costume prepared for the commercial shoot, she said, “I’m embarrassed because it’s my home style, so I’m embarrassed because I usually wear BAKUNE as pajamas (lol). Even the colors are the same.” (laughs)” he said with a wry smile. “Wouldn’t it have been a good idea to just wake up in the morning and come straight to the studio?” he said jokingly, drawing laughter from those around him.

■He was worried about the role of “Sakurai wearing BAKUNE”, which has many lines and is very difficult.
Compared to the “tired Sakurai who doesn’t know BAKUNE”, the “Sakurai wearing BAKUNE” has far more lines and has to complete his performance within a set number of seconds, which makes him look annoyed and say, “This one is difficult.” Sakurai. He kept in mind the long lines and performed an exquisite performance that was able to interact with the “tired Sakurai who doesn’t know BAKUNE”, who had already finished filming, and the director praised it as “amazing.” However, Sakurai was looking for a better performance, saying, “I still don’t have a good response.”

■I was impressed by the video of the two of us talking, saying, “Wow! It fits!”
In order to complete a well-tempo dialogue between the “tired Sakurai who doesn’t know BAKUNE” and the “Sakurai who doesn’t know BAKUNE”, Sakurai continues to perform the role of “Sakurai wearing BAKUNE” while keeping the rhythm by himself. “It’s pajamas with the “pa” character that I wear when I sleep!” Sakurai said after checking the temporarily composited footage when filming progressed to the action scenes, “It’s true! It’s amazing! It fits! ” and was impressed by the way the two of them were talking so well. He smiled and worked on the rest of the shoot.

■Sho Sakurai interview
Q. Please tell us how you feel about being appointed as the image character of BAKUNE, which you have always loved.
Sakurai: I was surprised. I wonder why they were able to convey the fact that they love BAKUNE (lol). It feels very strange to be in the position of introducing BAKUNE, which I always wear to bed. A few months ago, in an interview for another project, I said something along the lines of “I took a full-out nap challenge.” I said, “I found clothes that will help me eat my fill and relax, so I’m going to put them on…” At that time, I hadn’t heard about this story (appearing in a BAKUNE commercial). At that time, my “relaxation wear” was BAKUNE…I was really surprised. What I said in my comments on set ended up sounding like an “advance” (laughs). I was very surprised when I heard about it later.

Q. Please tell us about how Sakurai-san and BAKUNE met.
Sakurai:At first…I think the staff probably gave it to me. So I started wearing it and thought, “It feels good.” A few months ago, when I was walking around town, I found a store (TENTIAL Official Store) and thought, “Wow, there are so many different types!” and I started learning about and wearing all kinds of things.

Q. Mr. Sakurai, please tell us what you think is your favorite point about BAKUNE.
Sakurai: I guess it’s comfortable. The fabric feels smooth, but it’s not too hot in the summer. When I wear short sleeves and shorts in the summer, I sometimes get a little sticky from sweat, so (BAKUNE) long sleeves and long pants are comfortable, so I use them when I go to bed.

Q. Are you good at getting up in the morning? Or are you a weak person?
Sakurai: Around April and May, I was really strong in the morning, getting up around 6am and going to the gym before 8am. This summer I was extremely sleepy and slept for about 10 hours…I’m in a transitional period (lol). The ideal is to wake up early in the morning and move your body, so I try to move as much as possible in the morning.”

Q. What kind of people would you recommend “Fatigue Recovery Pajamas BAKUNE” to? If you were to give it as a Christmas gift, who would you give it to?
Sakurai:The person I have actually given it to as a gift is a trainer teacher. I wanted to thank you for checking my body all the time… or rather, I said, “You must be tired as a trainer,” so I wanted to give you something in return. That was all I could do, so in the past I gave it as a gift to someone who was having their body maintained. I also want to give it to Mr. Kotoge from Viking, who was very sleepy in the morning when I went to spend the night on location for a shoot (lol). “Please sleep well” (lol). When I work in this job, my hours are irregular and my sleep hours vary, so I think it would be great to give this to someone like that as a Christmas present.

Q. Other than wearing BAKUNE, please tell me what you do to maintain your condition.
Sakurai:Currently I’m training at the gym two to three times a week, but I wonder what else I can do… I started walking one or two stops. It was a little hot in the middle of summer, but when it’s nice like this season or early spring, I started to use my time to think about various things while walking, and to memorize lines while walking. It sounds like “mental and physical condition”.

Q. Please give a message to the viewers who will watch the new TV commercial.
Sakurai: Even when you don’t have much time each day, it’s very important to properly condition yourself in order to maintain your performance. Let’s all live a positive life together with TENTIAL’s fatigue recovery pajamas BAKUNE!
